Is the Android 7.1 update the feature update rather than security and fix? My s8+ is still only 7.0 atm.

You're reading right, the update is security and bugs at this point.

Thanks

Can you confirm that the software will be going to the android version 7.1.0 and that is not a mistake. Android 7.1.0 is a big update over 7.0 so I would like to make sure not to get excited about nothing.

Our apologies, it was a typo and the version is 7.0. The updates is for security and bug fixes though, so that part is spot on.

Thanks

Can you confirm what happened to the Marshmallow update for Huawei G8? It was on the list at one stage but has disappeared.

I have a Samsung s6 edge plus and every day I get a notification to say there is an update.  Once I click on the notification and the phone goes looking for the update, it says the latest updates are already installed.  I see from a previous weekly wrap that it is a security update. My software is march 2017 security patch.

any advice on how to get the phone to update to the latest security patch.

Download the software smart switch onto a computer. Plug your phone in and smart switch will check for the latest update. If there is one it will install it.
