I called the Contact Centre to change from a SIM only month to month to a SIM only 12 month contract plan and I was asked for my Medicare card details. When I questioned why this information was required I was told it was not for a credit check but necessary to move forward with my request. I relunctantly gave the information and now want to confirm that this is a standard Vodafone practice. The changes to my plan have been processed but I am now concerned about having divulged that information.
