Re: Your thoughts and opinions (owners of Galaxy Tab 10.1v)

That's strange i've actually tried mobo player before the suggestion and the program constantly crash on startup. Might try the other player suggested. Found ES file explorer to be very useful too.

:-) thx rain the vital player works like a charm

What do you guys think of the headphone jack? Seems very touchy. If it's all the way in its still on speakers and have to be pulled back to adjust till it pics up on headphone. That basicaly rendered the headphone useless if you accidentally touch or pull the cord. Anyone having the same problem?

Re: Your thoughts and opinions (owners of Galaxy Tab 10.1v)

Love the tablet!

The video chat option in the Gtalk application is simply a blessing! :smileyvery-happy:

Even though Vital player didn't work so well on my tab, the Mobo player seemed to work pretty well!

Maps and navigation work perfectly, and games too. Specially the THD one's.

FOund that 'File Station' is the best file manager I found so far. The CNN App for tablet works well too!

SBMX was a good ap for drawing too which I like a lot! ALso the RepliGo Reader works well.

The Offi Stations app is wonderful to track tram times in Melbourne and I would suggest it to anyone in Melbourne or Sydney!

Was just wondering if anyone found a good ebook reader. I frankly am sick of the Aldiko reader since I've been using it on my phone a fair bit much and it doesn't render well on the tablet and is slow.

Re: Your thoughts and opinions (owners of Galaxy Tab 10.1v)

I've not got either of my 2 demo 1080p files to play smoothly, so I guess a bitrate reduction is needed (or ultimately a pixel size reduction as I indicated before).

As for mobo player, I personally quite like it - the UI is good: I really like the brightness adjust feature that is applied during playback, then the tablet reverts to the original brightness upon existing. It seems the program wants you to install a codec pack which is a bit disconcerting - you are suggested to only install it if necessary, but the player seems to not want to continue until you do install it & you are left to blindly install the ARM7 (I think) version, so you're really hoping it's CPU sensing algorithm is correct (seems like it was). In short, the install felt a bit rough.

I think the headphone jack is fine (on mine at least) I used third-party headphones and they work fine as expected & the connection is secure.
