Hi Snuolis,
if you have used www.vodafone.com.au/unlock and then entered imei and received that message is due to the link is for australian devices only,
vodafone spain has their own forum
http://foro.vodafone.es/ - google will translate for you if needed
also looked on their website www.vodafone.es and could not see wnywhere or anything in regards to unlocking.
hope that helps,

Hi Snuolis,
Your iPhone 4 must be unlocked by Vodafone Spain, as we are only able to unlock a phone provided by Vodafone Australia. How did you receive the phone? If this was provided to you from a friend or family member in Spain, you will need to have them request the unlock.
Otherwise, I suggest getting in touch with the team on Facebook here. Google Translate will help with communicating to them ![]()
Thanks,
Cait

and you're trying to unlock through Vodafone Australia when you're with another provider?
here's the very basic thing of phone locking, it checks the SIM card for the codes, currently vodafone uses 2 codes, 505-03 (VFAU) and 505-06 (3-VFH) , if your phone is locked to a carrier which VodafoneAU didn't use this until recently, then it will check the SIM for that code, if it doesn't detect that code on the SIM it will display an error.
there are ways around this though, I will tell you the 3 most common ways around this
1. go to apple.com.au and buy a new iphone from the store, the phones come pre unlocked and ready to be recharged at your computer and registered at apple... can also have your name embedded on it, how cool is that!
2. try to get the unlock code from VFSE, this will be the most time consuming and results may vary, you may cause your phone to be a very expensive brick
3. illegal methods that will void your warranty and is frowned upon by carriers, your on your ow if you choose this method
you can also, sign up for a contract with VFAU and start talking to Siri, that way you know tha

Hi hamontree,
I'm unable to assist you with unlocking your iPhone, as this will need to be done by Vodafone Spain. This is because your mobile has a security code that safeguards it from being used on another network, other than it's default. As SkashKitsune mentioned this is the Vodafone Australia help page and therefore I don't have access to Spain's unlocking codes.
I certainly appreciate your frustration, as it must be difficult to have your handset unlocked without speaking Spanish. My colleague Cait has suggested above that if a service is with Vodafone Spain you can to try contacting members of the Spain Facebook team by clicking here, to seek support with having your iPhone unlocked.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns regarding this.
Thanks,
Maddie

Hi Vodafone,
I was a 3-Hutchison (Australia) customer who move to Vodafone. Then I forgot to unlock my Iphone4. The problem is now I am in Malaysia, but I cannot using the Iphone4 since it's locked with 3-Hutchison. I asked my friend to contact with 3-Hutchison customer service, they also cannot find my IMEI number in their database and asked my friend to make a request to Vodafone (Australia). Then I tried to unlock the Iphone using the UNLOCK TOOL in Vodafone(Australia) website, but nothing come out.
So I would like to ask from Vodafone(Australia) to solve this thing out for me. I can be contacted at [personal detail removed]
Best regards

When you popped the IMEI number into the unlock tool did it direct you to fill in the unlocking difficulties form? Generally it will take 4 days for the unlock code to come through. If you have filled in the form and it hasn't come through then I can look into it for you. To do so I will need to get some details from you and if you could email online.help@vodafone.com.au with the code C898CDAGI in the subject header. This link will have all the details I will require to action the unlock for you.
I look forward to hearing from you as I'm sure you'd like to be able to use your iPhone again.
Cheers,
Dana.
