Hi Ashypashy,
I definitely understand that you're keen to start using you're new phone!

I'm a new customer of vodafone. Signed onto a new plan with a new handset on the 9/8/12. Was told 2-4 working days. Now it's been almost 1 week and still nothing. Checked order number and now the estimated shipping date has changed to the 17 th.
We are current experiencing some short delays with our orders, and I apologise for any inconvenience this is causing you. It's great that you've been using our online order tracking tool to track your order, and it's great that you can now expect to receive your phone tomorrow.
I'd love to hear any feedback you have about the phone once you've had a play with it!
If your brother has any concerns with his order he is more than welcome to contact us about it. Once an order has been sent out, we cannot cancel it as it's already on it's way.
Regards,
Sarah.

I am also a new vodafone customer- I have been with three for ten plus years-and am already regretting not just signing up with Telstra or Amaysim- i ordered a white iphone 4S 64 GB on the 12/8 and there have been three or four ETA's since then-was meant to be sent 20th-delivered the 21st-then it changes to 27th-delivered the 28th. I was told 3-5 days on the phone when I agreed to this-they must have already known that they could not fulfill the order in the time frame they promised
The most important thing for us is that you're initial experience with ordering and receiving a handset is smooth, and you get what you ordered in the time that we've given. I'd love the opportunity to give you an exact time frame of when you can expect your iPhone 4S, and provide you with any additional info about your order you'll need to know.
I'll need to grab some of your order details, So I've sent you a PM with instructions on how to send your info through to me, and you can access your PMs by clicking this link. When I receive your reply, I'll search up your order from my end, and go from there.
If you've got any other questions or queries, be sure to include them in your email.
Kind Regards,
James.

In the end (see post above) I was told by vodafone rep that the iphone 4S64 GB in white was no longer being made because of the iphone 5 arrival being imminent-so I was given the option to wait for the iphone 5- the credit check and everything had already been done-and I was already in the system-so...waiting...waiting...waiting for weeks to go by til the 21st.
Thanks for your reply.
I've just had a look at our warehouse stock levels for you and you're right. The iPhone 4S 64 GB isn't being stocked at the moment. The iPhone 5 is a brilliant phone and I'm confident that you'll be happy that you've waited for this device. It totally makes sense that if you've already been approved for this new handset that you'd be one of the first in line for delivery.

Kept in touch with vodafone via email-the same rep-got a call to go over the plan/details etc on Friday 21st Sept- she said 3-5working days...okaaay? Since my order had been in the system for ages- I thought it would be shipped out on Friday..or today at the latest...
Finally got my VHU number working in the delivery/tracking website...and guess what?
Its not due to be sent UNTIL FRIDAY 28th SEPTEMBER- with delivery 1ST OCTOBER!!!!
I appreciate that you took the time to keep in touch with us to ensure the upgrade was completed as soon as the iPhone 5 was available. You're certainly not alone in eagerly awaiting the arrival of this handset.
We began pre-orders for the iPhone 5 over the phone and online beginning on Friday the 14th of September. The means that we would have had a weeks worth of pre-orders before the iPhone was actually available on the 21st which was when you placed your order.
This device has been extremely popular and due to this demand, our expected delivery time frames have been stretched slightly. I do apologise if you feel that we gave you incorrect information in regards to this. We offer delivery time frames as a guide but these are subject to change due to availability, postal location, and back orders.

I'm am furious-its one thing to stuff people around-but to make them wait...and wait....and then wait some more?
You certainly haven't had the introduction that we'd hoped for and this makes me really sad. I can assure you that it would have never our intention to make you wait. You've done all the right things in this instance and I really do appreciate your patience and loyalty to come to us from 3.
If your new iPhone doesn't arrive on Monday as scheduled can you please email us the details provided by James in our above post. From there we can look into this further for you.
Regards,
Madeleine
