I completely agree with you! Except it would be so much easier for me to just go to my local Vodafone store then the apple store. But am desperate for the Iphone 4S! and all I want is the 16GB. So whoever place can give it to me, i'll take it!

I will probably just buy one through the online Apple store,with free shipping.Will take 1-2 weeks to arrive,but I can wait.There is no Apple store I can go to locally.

You certainly can purchase an iPhone outright from us.

In order to buy your handset outright on the website, it is done as a prepaid purchase. There are some handsets that are not available for purchase this way.

As an existing customer, you can also choose to purchase a handset outright through our Upgrades Team (1555). This can be done as a Monthly Payment Plan (MPP) or an outright purchase.

I'm sorry that you have been giving conflicting information, and for the delay and inconvenience that this has caused for you.

Thank you for clearing everything up. 

Would I possibly be able to go into my local Vodafone store to buy one outright? As it would be much easier for me. 

Also if im am purchasing an Iphone outright what happens with the microsim? Would I have to purchase one on top of getting the Iphone or would it just come with it? Considering the iphone does not take regular sim cards..

yea going into a store, just ask to buy one outrigth or on prepaid, they should sell it to you and give you a micro sim.

How much would it cost to upgrade from the $45 infinite plan with a Samsung Galaxy SII to a white Iphone 4s? My samsung has recently got a craked screen and is going to cost around $280 to repair, so im interested in upgrading to an Iphone

You can buy a htc one x outright for same price and the one x has better camera features, a quad core processor, hd screen, feels exceptional in hand, good battery, android 4.0 and the best thing about android is they interact with every phone brand and every computer platform unlike apple products. There are a couple of options available to you if you're looking at upgrading your handset, the best option for you will generally be determined by how far you are through your current plan.

Your first option is an early upgrade, this would essentially mean ending your current plan and starting a new one with a new phone, though this would incur an early upgrade fee from your current plan. Your early upgrade fee is worked out by multiplying your minimum monthly spend (plus any handset installments) by the number of months remaining on your contract. This option is usually better if you are near the end of your existing plan.

The next option would be to purchase a handset on a monthly payment plan. This takes the outright price of a new phone and splits it into monthly installments over 6,12,18 or 24 months and adds it to your current plan. If you are currently making monthly payments on an existing handset, you will need to pay that out first, as you can only have one MPP at a time.

The last option is to simply purchase a new handset outright. For an iPhone, the cost will vary depending on the amount of storage that you would like, pricing for the 4S will vary from $799 for the 16GB to $999 for the 64GB.
