Another iPhone 4S delivery issue!

I’m a 3 customer porting over to Vodafone and so far it’s been a pretty terrible experience! I was okthe deal I received for my phone and although not happy with the 3 week wait (well first it was 3 days which I was very happy about, then at the end of the call it was switched to 3 weeks!) but I understand the stock issue.

 

However it’s been 3 weeks since I ordered my phone and after only receiving an email to confirm my email address and a bill for $0 for the period since I ordered my phone, I’ve received no confirmation about the plan or phone.

 

I called today and was told my order was ‘on hold’ but the operator couldn’t tell me why, he just mumbled something about wait times and the phone being hard to get. I said yes but it’s been 3 weeks, my phone should be in my hand tomorrow. I asked to speak to a supervisor but apparently I have to wait up to 24hrs for a call back for that as well.

 

The website said 3 weeks when I ordered, the website says 3 weeks now, so if the phone isn’t available why is the website not being updated?

 

I don’t know where to go from here,  I have no order number  to trace ro track anything and it was done over the phone so I can't  go instore and make them chase it up. If all the supervisor is going to say (if they call at all ) is that it’s on hold and I’ll get it soon I’ll be walking to another provider.

I have the same problem as Algies.I ordered my phone over three weeks ago, on the phone, and it is still yet to arrive. I'm also a Three customer who is transferring to Vodaphone.

 

I recieved the wireless 'dongle' that is apparently part of my plan less than a week after transferring over. Shortly after I received my new sim. I received my first Vodaphone bill (granted, it was $0.00) last week.

 

The online tracker had been showing my order as estimated delivery 2 December (Friday). It changed this weekend to say 4 December (yesterday). There is no consignment number or any indication it has been shipped.

 

I can't say I'm terribly impressed at the wait time, which I wasn't informed of when confirming my transfer/upgrade. Given it is passed the three weeks, is it possible to get an update on when I can expect my phone? It would be great if it were to turn up before Christmas...

 

I haven't called the customer service line, as honestly, I have other things to do and don't feel I should have to waste time following it up...

You're actually much better off than me!

 

I dont' have a sim, nor a tracking number and my order is apparently 'on hold' with no delivery date!!

Hi Algies,

 

You're absolutely right in saying that currently we expect a 3 week wait for iPhone 4S deliveries; they're a popular item at the moment an we're doing everything possible to fulfil orders for the device.

 

Whilst waiting for the device you should be able to check the status via our iPhone delivery tracking page, which will give you an updated expected delivery time frame and provide an Australian Air Express consignment number when the handset is dispatched.

 

As you're now over the 3 week mark and don't have a number to track with, I'll check your order to ensure there are no errors and that you're in queue to receive your device. So I can do this, I've sent you a private message with my contact details, you can access these here.

Thanks for your response Bart.

 

I got the PM, but I don't think I require your assistance anymore. The status of my order has changed to 'Shipped' and it is apparently on board with the driver now.
