Hi Chromacrash,

You can Change the WiFi Key via the pocket WiFi dash-board.

Here a link to the pocket WiFi user guide, User Guide

Thanks
Liam

I am having a similar problem. I have only 2 laptops that are able to connect to my pocket wifi, and it shows 2 connected when one isn't. I apparently can not change my password because I have no vodafone Mobile. I was offered one with my plan, but I didn't take it, and was told it would be fine.
Also, I am constantly having to disconnect and re-connect to the wifi, often without it actually working so I need to do it a few times. It changes from 3G, to H, to 2G. Please help? I am needing a good internet service for school, and it is really frustrating dealing with this and a 'mystery device'!
Thankyou

Hi Liam,
I'm sorry I don't understand what you mean by 'Where about are your trying to change your password?' I have tried logging into My Vodafone on the Wifi Dashboard, but I do not have a mobile with Vodafone, and your mobile number is requested.

Yes, It shows 2 devices. We have  an Xbox with Xbox Live, but disconnect from that. We suspect it doesn't register that we've disconnected the Xbox. Do you know if this could be the 2nd device?

This afternoon it took a long time for us to be able to use the Wifi. I had to reset it and then keep trying a few more times before it worked. Then it was incredibly slow and kept dropping out. Eventually it worked. Any ideas what this could mean?

Sorry I am asking so many questions! But 2 sometimes 3 of us are relying on this wifi for schooling.

The postcode is 2199

Thanks for your help,
Keira

Hi Keira-Jane,

Are you trying to change you MyVodafone password or WiFi WPA password?

It can take some time for the for a device to stop showing on the pocket WiFi after it disconnected.

Do you notice the slow speed more in a particular time of day it happen more than others.

Thanks,
Liam.

I understood from looking up online that to change my Wifi password, I need to be using My Vodafone. But I'm not, and can not use it  as I don't have a vodafone mobile.
Okay, so the device just might not be showing its been disconnected.
No, the slow speed is all the time, any time of the day or night.

Hi Keria,

To change the password on the Wifi this can be done trought the internet browser by typing the ip address of the modem.

To change your MyVodafone password you will need to pop the sim card from the modem in a unlock phone to receive the txt message.

Thanks,
Liam.

How do I know what the i.p address is? And I can barely use this internet because it constantly drops out. It is taking so long and is so very frustrating. Can you give me suggestions on what to do?

Hi Keira-Jane,

I understand this can frustrating and I'm happy to help get a resolution.

So I'm to help with getting a resolution I have include links to our troubleshooting guide; the parts of which can be found here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3. You'll notice the troubleshooting articles largely refer to handsets, though it can also be done on a mobile broadband device.

If you've got any questions about the troubleshooting steps or after you complete them, please let me know and I'll answer them

Also to access the Pocket WiFi dashboard. This can be access through your web browser by typing this address http://pocket.wifi/.

Thanks,
Liam.
