I always forget my PIN numbers, so I know exactly how you feel. There a few ways you can recover your 4 digit account PIN. As you have mentioned, you can contact 1555, a free call from your Vodafone number. Our customer care team will complete a 3 point ID check with you. Once you've correctly answered the questions they will then provide you with your PIN.
You can also visit your nearest Vodafone store, which you can locate here, where they will also run through the 3 point ID check, or you can show them your ID (preferably the primary ID you used at the time of sign up).
If you like to multi-task and email on your phone, whilst walking down the street and drinking a nice hot cup of coffee (though, this never seems to work out well for me!), I can certainly assist you via email, where again I'll just need to ask you a few questions to verify you as the account holder... of course, you can also email me from a computer
If you'd like to take this option, I've sent you a private message with my email contact details for you to forward your Vodafone account information to.
Please note that I am unable to provide support through PM and will wait for your email.
Cheers,
Cait

Hi vic0522,

Where overseas have you moved to? I'm sure that it was quite an undertaking at the time and your mobile phone account may have been the last thing on your mind when you were packing up to go.

In regards to your Vodafone account, when did you sign up and was it on a 24 month contract? If you didn't have time to cancel your account before leaving Australia then the account would have disconnected due to non payment and then may have been referred to a third party for payment.
This is something i can check on for you though, to do so I will need to grab some details from you. I have sent you a PM with my contact details and to access your Private Messages please click on this link.
If you could get in touch with me and I can help clear it up for you.
Cheers,
Dana.

I recently spoke to a customer service officer from Vodafone who informed me that I was unable to upgrade my current phone to a more expensive plan because I had to pay out my current plan, which has about 6 months left. The technology on my current phone is out dated. I have upgraded 2 phone plans in the last 3 years with Vodafone, but things have obviously changed?
Your advertising campaigns also report you are broadening your service coverage, but it continues to be pretty poor on the Mid North Coast of NSW.
I am thinking of paying out plan my plan and finishing my 5 years of loyalty to the brand. Friends and colleagues report Telstra and Optus to be far superior services. Why should I stay with Vodafone?

Hey exquisite777 ,
You've certainly come to the right place, and I would love to clear this up for you.

The reason that you would have had to pay your 6 months out is because you're breaking your contract to upgrade. I understand that this is frustrating however as you were not in the loyalty period we are unable to complete the upgrade process unless you're willing to pay the fee.
If you just were looking at changing to a higher rate plan, you would not be charged as you're only changing the plan rate and not your contract terms.

I understand that you're wanting to upgrade your plan due to your current handset being outdated, this is perfectly normal.
What you may like to do is add a mobile payment plan to your current account. This means that you can possibly get a new phone on your same contract and pay a minimum amount for the device each month until your contract is finished. You can find out more information on Mobile Payment Plans here.

We are currently upgrading our network and rolling out our new 850MHz Network. This network will be faster, better and stronger than ever before and I would love to see if it is coming to your area if it has not already.
Can you please let me know where you're located exactly? A post code and suburb would be great. This will allow me to check for updates and also the current network you're receiving.
If you could also let me know the device make and model you're using, with this information I will be able to confirm whether or not the device is able to be used on the new 850MHz Network and the other network layers in your area.

You certainly have been a valuable long term customer and it would be really sad to see you leave us and I would really like to help you further. I'm hoping that once I have a few more details off of you I can start regaining your trust in us, and also look at some alternative options for you.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kindest regards,
Bree.

This is a good question, that comes up a lot, particularly when switching networks with an unlocked handset!
The correct APN to use with us is live.vodafone.com. We've also got a support article online that will help you get your handset set up with the right APN, which you can access here. Follow this information, and you'll be surfing the web out and about in no time!
If you need any extra support, or you've got any other questions or queries, please let me know.
Kind Regards,
James.
