If you're like me and are more than a little attached to your 'phone’, you may find yourself copping some grief from friends, family, and most importantly your better half.
If this is the case and, unlike me, you don't have the handy excuse of social media being your job, then new private messaging app Pair may just redeem you some brownie points.
'Pair', from TenthBit Inc, is designed for, and pitched to, those in long-term relationships.
Although in my opinion it's just a great, simple app that allows two users to create a private timeline of events and messages with their chosen partner.
The interface is super simple, jumping into life when you pair with your chosen loved one.
Pair avoids the over-complicated functionality of many messaging apps, sticking with basic messaging features including:
The classic text message
A nifty little 'paint' style message for scribbling sweet nothings
Photo/Video upload for sharing those moments words can't describe
A one touch 'thinking of you' button, that simply delivers the message 'thinking of you'
Other well thought out handy features for the thoughtful yet forgetful include:
Shared task lists
Important dates (birthdays and anniversaries)
Passcode locking - to avoid those awkward 'friend got my 'phone' moments
The smartest bit of all, and one that'll be sure to melt hearts when you're far from home, is the 'ThumbKiss' feature, which vibrates your 'phone when you and your partner press your thumbs to the screen in the same place. All together now: "Awwwwww".
Pair also has a Facetime button which allows seamless switchover to video calling without leaving the app.
It's currently only available for iPhone at this stage, but there are plans for an Android version in the near future.
So there you have it, your very own intimate and fun private messaging app. What do you think? Nauseating or nice? Let me know in the comments below.
