From 12:00pm (noon) AEST, 22 May 2012 – HTC will begin rolling out the Android 4.0.3 “Ice Cream Sandwich” update for the Sensation handset.
This is a platform upgrade and will change the way you experience and interact with your device. Some menu items have moved and the user interface has been refreshed.
Due to the size of the upgrade, we recommend performing the download over WiFi.
However, should you choose to download it over 3G using your Vodafone SIM, the data will not be deducted from your monthly allowance.
If you are connected to any roaming network you will be charged at your applicable data rate.

Finally!! Looking forward to upgrading my Sensation today!
Does this update wipe everything on the phone?
Hi Will, the update shouldn’t wipe any data, but I always say it’s better to be safe than sorry. Back up anything specific that you can’t afford to lose.
Update is not yet available ? When I am try to update my HTC Sensation XE it says no updates found. Its already 1.15PM is there any delay to release the updates?

Hi jay, our support article has all the info you need including a link to a document outlining the changes. You can click on the link in the post or right here.
Hi Praveen, the update should be available for all users by now. Why not jump across to the post for the Sensation XE (this is for the original Sensation) where you can share your experiences with other users?

I haven't had a chance to completely explore ics yet . The voice upgrade is probably the best part and most worth waiting for.The voice type feature almost completely understands english. It's like a new immigrant heading in the right direction to a full blown western vocabulary. System start ups are slightly faster with much of the same glitches as on any other os
Introduced. The navigation services are a little more neatly organised, is the fixing of icons on the phone home screen, such as text, phone, internet. There's some faster access to blue tooth and wireless while GPS still hides in a back of house menu. The internet icon in settings looks like an on off switch only, but when you touch on it, it takes you through to the back of house settings such as wcdma, or auto ect. In all ics has added some value to any android handset probably about 20%.There is of course a few ideas of my own I would like to have added to the ics os. But that's another story. Ics operating system is worth every megabit IMHO . I'm reasonably satisfied overall despite being hard to please.
Did the ICS update 2 days ago and noticed a slight drop on the signal strength metre and some increased battery drain and slowed data (HTC Sensation). Otherwise a smooth upgrade - some great improvements in ICS.
Upgraded on the 22,recharged my battery straight after upgrading and am still running on the same charge ,massive increase in time between charges.
Hi Kieran,I upgraded both my phones to ICS - fairly smooth transition on both my Sensation and Sensation XE after a couple of reboots etc. Battery life does seem to be slightly improved, especially on the XE.But I was wondering if the ability to unlock the phone using the notifications pulldown was an intentional addition to ICS? It's not that easy to accidentally unlock the phone with the unlock ring down the bottom of the screen, but it seems extrememely easy to accidentally do it with the notifications pulldown.. I honestly didn't notice if this was possible prior to the upgrade. Thanks,
Hi matatabetai, this is a new feature of ICS which allows you to access the notification tray from the lock screen. The easiest way to prevent it from happening is to set a pattern or PIN lock on your phone. From personal experience I know that it can get annoying having to unlock your screen with a PIN or pattern every time you lock, so I've set it to lock two minutes after I sleep the screen.
