Hi I was just wondering what the best way to use pre paid while in Singapore and Malaysia? I currently buy the $30 cap but should I buy a bigger cap for my holiday? Any help will be appreciated.
I'd love to help you here!
The best thing to do would be add international roaming to your pre paid pack. You can check out the roaming online here. Simply click on the 'Roaming for Prepaid Caps and Flexi Caps' and scroll down to the $30 cap.
This will then show you how much the $30 cap will get you to make standard voice calls, Receive calls and send a standard TXT message. From here all you will need to do is scroll across to the third column where you will find the correct amount of time that you're able to use when using the $30 recharge.
You can see how to set up your international roaming online here.
Please let me know if you require any further information regarding pre paid roaming and I can certainly assist you further.
Thanks,
Bree

Hi fionad,
I hope you're having a great weekend.

when I recharge will my left over credit roll over or will it be forfeited? I haven't recharged before when I still had credit remaining.
There are a few variables in this scenario as it really depends on the Prepaid plan you're moving from and to. I can give you the advice specific to you, if you could kindly let me know the name of the Prepaid plan you were on and it's value and the one you're recharging to please?
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Amy

Hi fionad,

Any unused credit from your $30 recharge is non refundable and won’t roll over, if you recharge $50 before your credit expiry.
However if your on a $30 TXT and Talk or 360 day recharge your credit will roll over when your recharge onto a Vodafone cap and the credit expiry will remain as the original recharge.
If you have any further questions before you head of overseas, please let me know and I'll help.
Thanks,
Maddie

I do have one more question, I have bought a voucher so can I wait till my credit runs out overseas then recharge by dialing 1511?
The new recharge period won't begin until you apply the voucher to your account so you will be fine to wait. We certainly don't want you to lose your accumulated credit. So is today the big day? Have you been to Singapore or Malaysia before? I'm off to Bali in a couple of weeks and am so excited!
Have you used your phone overseas before? If you've got a Smart-phone it may be worth switching your data off via the handsets settings when you're not wanting to use the Internet. The reason that I suggest this is that international data rates are really high (1 cent per KB) and I'd hate for all your flexible credit to be eaten straight away because of this. I'd be more than happy to pull up some more specific instructions for you to do this if you're unsure. Just let me know your handset make and model.
Feel free to give us a yell if you have any other questions while your away. If we don't hear from you again before hand, have a absolute blast!
Cheers,
Madeleine

Hi Fiona,
You're most likely on the plane by now, how exciting!

Thanks for the tip about turning off the internet.
I hoping to use relatives WiFi while I'm thereI have a HTC legend, so I will turn it off. I'll probably only want it for facebook anyway.
If you'd like to be extra safe, I can bar data on your account to avoid any chance of data roaming charges occurring. This won't affect your ability to connect to WiFi at all.
If you'd like me to do this for you, I'll need some account information from you. To protect your privacy I cannot discuss account information with you on the Community, so I have sent you a private message containing my email address.
