Hi Melo,
Welcome to the forums.
Regarding using your currently USB modem here in australia with a Vodafone AU sim card. Your modem would need to be unlocked to use on the network here.
With purchasing a sim. This would need to purchased here in australia as we don't send oversea.
Thanks,
Liam.

Hi Melo,
As your modem is locked to a different network (not Vodafone Australia) you will need to unlock it to use it here-even if it is still Vodafone branded.
Are you looking to purchase a pre-paid or post-paid SIM?
You can purchase a pre-paid SIM at any Vodafone store or reseller (most Australian supermarkets, service stations etc sell pre-paid SIMs).
Otherwise you can place an order online and have it delivered to your temporary address.
Thanks
Kate

It's exciting that you'll be visiting the Gold Coast, I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time!
Where on the Gold Coast will you be visiting? You can check out what the coverage will be like by popping the full address, or suburb in to our coverage checker.
The Prepaid Terms and Conditions do vary depending on what Prepaid recharge you have purchased. If you let me know which recharge you're using I can run through these with you to make sure you've purchased a recharge that is going to suit your needs. Unlimited Facebook is generally not included in your prepaid plan, unless specified in the Terms and Conditions.
In regards to unlimited Facebook, uploading a photo should not incur any charges if you are using m.facebook.com, or the official Facebook application. If you click on a link that directs you to an external web page, you will incur data charges.
To have access to unlimited Facebook, you'll need to ensure you have a data pack added to your account. The two data packs we have for Prepaid are a Socialise Pack, and a Favourites Pack. Both are very similar, however which pack you choose depends on which recharge you have. You can view more information and add a data pack here.
If you'd like any further information on anything Vodafone related, let me know and I can help you!
Regards,
Sarah.

Hi Dan,
I'm a bit jealous that you'll be spending some time on the sunny Gold Coast.

The Gold Coast airport is quite small, so unfortunately we don't have a kiosk or store there at this stage. Where are you heading on the Gold Coast? I can find out if there is a store in the area that you're heading to.
There is a dealership in Tweeds Head which is just past Coolangatta, south of the Gold Coast airport. You can view the kiosk by typing in 'Gold Coast airport' in to our store locator here.
Feel free to let me know if you have further questions about any of our store locations.
Regards,
Sarah.

I am visiting Gold Coast and Sydney from 2nd Sept to 9th. I need to use my Samsung SIII Google Map to drive around. I just need some minimum sort of data plan to use the map and hardly use for calls. What is the cheapest Prepaid data card I can get? Can I get it from Brisbane Airport?
Cheers James.

The Gold Coast is certainly a great place to visit! Where will you be staying? You can take a look to see what the 3G coverage will be like in your area by popping the suburb in to our coverage checker here.
We do have some great prepaid options available. As you will require a large amount of data, I suggest checking out our Flexi Caps here. Not only will you have a large amount of data to use, you'll also have plenty of credit in case you'd like to make calls or sent TXT messages.
If you do require slightly more data than you're entitled to in your plan, we have some data packs that you can add on to your prepaid recharge. You can see them here.
You can pick up a prepaid SIM card from any Vodafone store. There is a Vodafone Kiosk inside Brisbane Airport that you can grab one from. You can view the exact location by entering 'Brisbane Airport' in to our store finder here.
If you'd like any further information, feel free to let me know.
Regards,
Sarah.

Sarah,
Your reply have been helpful. I have surf the Vodafone wewb a bit and using the calculator. I may end up decide to get a SIm card with Data Plan should be enough. Sicne my local call gona be minimum, I just use my Singapore SIM roam ability for voice. I saw the Value pack AUD8 which is sufficient for my one week trip there.
To be precise, I will stay in Surfer Paradise near to Sea World area for 5 days. But one of the day will drive extensively to Sunshine Coast area visiting place such like Big Pineapple, Starberry Feilds Farm, Nutworks, Australian Nougat Company and Welingham Maze. Then I will fly to Sydney for 2 days adventure before head home Singapore.
I also found with your link a Vodafoen outlet in Brisbane Airport which is extremely helpful.
Perhaps one last question. To load the Favourite Pack AUD8 which shoudl be more than enoguh for me to use, I understand I need to get a SIM Prepaid card for AUD1. Does it coem in Micro SIM version as I am using Smasung SIII which need to use Micro SIM.
Cheers and Thanks =v=
