I will visit Gold Coast on July, planned to stay for 2 weeks. I need a prepaid SIM card for my iPhone 4 to receive email, web browsing, whatsapp as well as some local and international voice calls. I think I need around 1GB or 2GB data. Would you please suggest which prepaid plan I should join? Where can I get the SIM card? How to apply for the plan?

Thanks for the information on your usage. Based on what you have posted I would suggest that the $49 Flexi Cap is the best option for you. For $49 you will recieve $350 of Flexible credit - for national and international calls, TXT and PXT and more - $650 credit for calls to other Vodafone Australia numbers and 3GB of data. In addition to this data allowance you will also receive  unlimited access to Facebook, LinkedIn, FourSquare, Twitter and Myspace when using their respective mobile sites (m.facebook.com) and the official apps. We have a few places in and around the Gold Coast that will be able to set you up on prepaid - a store locator can be found here. Depending on how you are arriving we also have some stores in the airports which will ensure you will be set up and running as soon as possible.

Hi Paul,

Vodafone do supply Prepaid Micro-SIMs for the iPhone 4. You can purchase the Micro-SIM for $9.95 while you are in store which includes $10 bonus credit which is added on to your first recharge.

If you have an existing Vodafone Prepaid Standard SIM then you can exchange this for a Micro SIM in store.

Hi, I have a similar question to Paul. I'll be in Sydney in June for 2 weeks and using iPhone 4. I'd like to confirm what Millie and Kate has responded.

I can purchase the prepaid micro-sim for $9.95 and it includes a $10 value. Subsequently, I can purchase the prepaid value of $29/49 etc to add on to the prepaid micro-sim.

Questions:  How is the activation done? What is the life-span of the prepaid micro sim, where/when can the topups be done? (only at Vodafone stores?)

Prepaid micro-sim's can be purchased in store for $9.95.  You can then activate the SIM either over the phone or online. Once the SIM is active you can recharge with a prepaid cap/plan, for information on how to recharge view our website here.

I have a similar question. I will be visiting australia (arriving in Goldcoast) for 2 weeks only.

I have my own unlocked blackberry device, I need a prepaid sim card with Blackberry Services for email and blackberry messenger services. Can I get such a sim card from Vodafone? If yes, can I just go to any vodafone store?

Vodafone do not directly offer a prepaid BlackBerry service, however Crazy John's do, running on the Vodafone network. The SIM pack costs $29 and has six months of unlimited BlackBerry email and browsing

Unfortunately Vodafone don't offer Blackberry services on our Vodafone prepaid plans, but we do offer it on our $35 simonly plan.

Hi.

I would like to ask a similar question because will be staying in Brisbane and traveling in Queensland from July 1 to August 31. At present, I own a K3765-Z HSPA USB Stick by Vodafone Mobile Broadband which has been used in Italy, where I live. I wonder if it can work in Queensland after I have bought one of the plans offered by Vodafone. That is, should I have to buy another USB modem?

Second question: I'd like to buy the plan online on vodafone.com.au and receive the SIM card at my current address in Italy: would that be possible?
