System Error when activating new prepaid sim card

I am trying to activate my new prepaid sim card online, but got the error message:

 

System Error

 

Sorry for the inconvenience

- There has been a communication problem and your request has not been processed. Please try again in 10 minutes. (Error identification SAM-5-625). Click here for more detail.


 A enumeration number is not recognized by Siebel. (Code 99017)

 

I have tried few times, still not working.

Whilst I'm not sure of the specifics of the error, the description does suggest that it is being caused by an issue at our end.

 

I'd be happy to help you get this sorted out via email. I will send you a PM with my email address, which you can access by following the link here.

 

Alternatively, a quick call to the Care Team on 1300 650 410 will get you up and running in no time. Just make sure you have all your details with you as they will need them to run through the activation process.

I am also getting the same error I have tried numerous times to activate the sim and the same error keeps coming up. Tried call support but trying to call off an optus phone and dont get very far. Trying to activate the pre paid sim for my USB internet stick. Please HELP me its driving me crazy.

Hi Lozza28984,

 

Thanks for letting us know we'll have to look into this. What Internet browser are you using when trying to activate? The reason I ask is our website works best with browsers such as as Google Chrome, Firefox and Safair!

 

I want to see you activated as soon as possible so I've sent you a Private Message with my contact details once I hear from you I'll be able to look into this for and get you up and running.
