Hi,
I purchased an unlock code for my Nokia 100 which I bought new from a Vodafone store in Brisbane. I followed the instructions exactly, but the phone says "Not Allowed". The instructions say that the message is shown only when the code has been entered incorrectly 3 times, but it was the first time that I tried entering the code. I have never before tried to unlock the phone. I tried calling the support, but I could not understand what they were saying, the connection that they have is terrible. If anybody could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Ben

I would love to help you out and get your handset unlocked. It certainly sounds strange that it is saying that it isn't allowed if it is the first time you have tried to unlock the handset.
Can you please let me know if this is the only error message you received? Can you please try once more and let me know how you go? Any more than 3 failed attempts will make your handset completely locked and we wont be able to unlock it. Let me know how you go once more and if it doesn't work I will take a look at your account for you and get the Handset unlocking team to help us investigate the issue.
Thanks,
Bree.

Hi Bree,
I have tried again, and get the same response of "Not Allowed". I know that if I enter the code incorrectly three times then the phone will be blocked, but I have never had a response other than "Not Allowed", such as "CODE ERROR".
Thanks,
Ben

When "Not Allowed" is displayed on your Nokia, this means you have exceeded 3 unlock attempts and your phone hard blocked. This means you won't be able to unblock the phone yourself, and it will need to be sent to us to be physically unblocked.
We recommend you send your phone to us via registered post so that you're able to track your phone. The tracking number will be printed on a bright yellow stick on the mail bag. I have included the address you'll need to send the phone to below.
Blocked Nokia
Attn: Service Hub
Mentone Service Hub
8/4 Federation Way
Mentone, VIC, 3194
You'll also need to make sure you include the following information.
There is no cost to unblock your phone, and we will endeavour to have it returned to you by courier (Australian Air Express) within two business days.
I understand that this may not be the most convenient option for you, however this is the only way to have your phone unblocked.
Let me know how you go.
Regards,
Sarah.

I recently posted my near new Nokia 100 L.Blue (VF) to "Blocked Nokia" for unlocking. Yesterday, they returned an unlocked phone to me, but the phone is not the original one that I sent and is much older than my own one. Is it a mistake? How can I get my own phone back? I even couldn't find a contact person for this matter. The IMEI No of my phone is: [personal detail removed].

You've certainly gone through the right process to have your mobile phone unlocked. It's a little concerning that you feel the phone you've had returned isn't your original and I'd really like to take a look into this for you in a bit more detail.
There are a few details I will need to grab off you which we don't suggest posting on the Community. I've sent you through a Private Message with my contact details. Your Private Messages can be retrieved here.
I'm really looking forward to discussing the unlocking of your phone with you further.
Thanks!
Alana.
