My Vodafone Registration - Temporary Password Issues

Hi there,

 

I have tried several times over the past year or so to register for My Vodafone. Every time I try to register, I enter my phone number, recieve the text message with the temporay password, and type it into the appropriate field on the site. However, I always recieve the following error:

 

"Sorry you have entered an incorrect temporary password, please try again."

 

I always receive the text within a minute, and try it within a minute after that. I have also ensured numerous times that it's not a capitalisation issue.

 

Just out of interest, I have also attempted to enter the password into the 'login' form. I don't expect it to actually work, but the error message that I get certainly isn't what I expect either:

 

"Sorry your user name has been disabled."

 

Not sure why it would be disabled, I've never used it before (and yes, I am the original owner of the sim card / phone number, although I do have other reasons to suspect that it was a recycled phone number).

 

Also, in my most recent attempts, I keep getting two temporary passwords (arriving one second apart from each other) every time I try to register.

I can certainly help you get into your MyVodafone account.  A year is a long time to be trying to get into the account and it's a pretty handy system for monitoring usage, paying bills and changing account details amongst other things.

Thank you for providing the error messgaes that you are receiving when logging in, this really helps me in sorting out what I have to do to fix this.  The user name disabled message is a clear indicator that I will need to access your account to re-enable it for you.  Could you please email online.help@vodafone.com.au with the code C479CDAMMV in the subject header.  If you could follow this link here it will have all the details that I will need to get your access back.

I've also had trouble registering for myvodafone. Ive only been able to take step one where you put in your phone number. When I press next for step 2, it says error 500. I do recieved the password in my phone. Ive tried the password in the log in pagebut it did not work. I've been trying for the past month but it has not work for me.

My Vodafone is a really handy for making sure that you're getting the most out of your service, so I'm keen to get you up and running as quickly as possible.

 

Can you please let me know which browser you're using to try and register and have you tried using a different browser to see if you're still getting the same error? Some browsers don't play as nicely with My Vodafone as we would like them to, so it's always a god idea to try registering in a different browser to see if you can complete the process.

 

I'd also like to check your profile form our end. If the system thinks that you have an incomplete registration in progress, it will prevent you from trying to register again. If this is the case, I can clear it form our systems and manually create a profile for you.

Hi,

 

I'm having issues was well when trying to sign up for My Vodafone

 

I get this message:

 

The mobile number you have entered is not a valid Vodafone number. For further assistance contact Customer Care on 1555 (free call) from your Vodafone mobile or 1300 650 410 from another phone (standard call rates apply).

 

I have been trying since last thursday to get this working please help!

Have you recently connected this service or ported it across from another provider? Occasionally, when a number is being brought to us from another provider, our database isn't automatically updated with the number details for My Vodafone, which is why you may be seeing this error.

The good news, is that this is really easy to fix. I'll need to get a few details from you so that I can manually create a profile for you in My Vodafone and then send out a temporary password to your phone. I've sent you a private message with my contact information so that I can do this, you can get to your private messages by clicking here.
