Hi kiyawkiyaw,

I hope you're enjoying your time in the USA :smileyhappy:

I'd love to take a look into this with you. What does the message that you receive or does it just state "not allow to make call"? Are you able to receive calls from numbers in the USA and Australia?

I recommend taking a look into the settings on your phone to ensure all outgoing calls are enabled. I'd also like to take a look into your account to make sure outgoing calls are permitted active on our end. For this, I'll need some personal details so I've sent you through a private message with my email contact details for you to forward your account information to.

Thanks,

Cait

There are a couple of things that you should check before I'll need to have a look over your account.

Are you able to send TXT messages? I am wondering if this issue is specific to calls, or if you aren't able to use your phone at all. If you aren't able to send or receive both calls and TXTs then it is likely that your International Roaming isn't set up correctly.

You can set up International Roaming quickly and easily through My Vodafone.

The next thing you should do is try manually selecting a network. Different phones have different ways to do this. If you have a look at our Roaming Rates page you can see the preferred networks for the USA, or any other country.

The other thing I would do is test your SIM in a different phone- a local US phone if possible. If the SIM works fine in the US phone, but not in your own, this means that something about your phone is causing the problem. This being the case, it is likely due to the frequencies that your phone can access not matching the ones on the US network.

Let me know how you go. If you still can't get roaming up and running then I'd like to have a look at your account and see what's going on.

Are you able to email me some details? I will forward you a PM with my email address which you can access by following the link here. If you send me through your details I will be able to escalate this for you so it can be investigated and fixed.

Let me know if you have any other questions, otherwise, I'll wait for an email from you.

Look after yourself.

Cheers,

Nick
