Hi,

I am wanting to add a $5 Socialise Pack to my PrePaid Account (from my PrePaid Credit) but I am unable to do so but the follow webpage states that I should be able to.

I have rung 1555 and they couldn't do it, I was told to do it through Vodafone Central but the Value Pack Option doesn't show up on the Web page anywhere.

I also went in store but told they could do it because i don't have a Vodafone phone.  I can access the web with the vodafone settings all I want to do is add a Value Pack.

Can anybody help??

I can definitely help with adding a Socialise Pack to your service!

What type of handset are you using and are you able to access Vodafone Central from your phone?
If you cannot access the full MyVodafone site please try accessing the following address from your phones web-browser: i.vodafone.com.au

From Vodafone Central you should be able to go to the My Vodafone area and choose the Packs and Passes tab to add the pack.

If you have problems with this I can add the pack for you manually, however as the pack is not automatically recurring it will be easier for you to access it in the future via your handset.

If you have problems with the above instructions please let me know and I will get your account details and add the pack for you.

Hi Kate,

My phone is a HTC Wildfire.

I have tried to goto i.vodafone.com.au but there is no "Packs and Passes" Tab under My Vodafone.  I only have "Credit Remaining", "Recharge", "Usage Details" and "Service Settings"

The HTC Wildfire is not a Vodafone approved handset, and this may impact on your ability to use Vodafone services, such as Central,

Are you able to try the SIM card in a Vodafone approved handset, to see if the packs and passes option is available to you?

I have tried my sim in a Vodafone Samsung Galaxy S and used the vodafone icon but it is exactly the same as on my own phone.

So where to now??????

I have done some investigating and I am sorry to advise that we seem to be experiencing an issue at the moment which is preventing prepaid customers from adding mobile internet packs to their service through Vodafone Central.  

Until this is resolved you can take advantage of unlimited social networking by purchasing a $5 Internet Essentials Add-ons, which can be bought anywhere Vodafone recharges are sold.

The $5 Internet Essentials Add-ons offers exactly the same inclusions as the Socialise Pack except for the unlimited email component. If you wish to use email, it will come out of the 150 MB included data.

Unfortunately you can’t purchase this pack with your Extras Credit, but at $5 it is very good value. 

We hope to resolve the issue with adding the other data packs very soon, and apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.

i have been trying to find someone or something that will help me out, and found this thread so maybe someone will be able to help me here?

i have been trying for weeks now to get the $5 internet essentials pack added to my phone which i am currently on the 365day prepaid credit option. i have been to several different outlets (such as newsagents, woolworths coles etc)  and to the vodafone stores and noone seems to know about the value pack option.

i have an iphone and cant access the vodafone central tab to add it from there like what has been suggested here

is there any other way i can get this internet pack on my phone?

any help is appreciated

You can get the $5 internet essentials pack added to your account by purchasing a $5.00 recharge. How do you normally recharge your prepaid account, with a voucher, online or over the phone? What happened when you went into the store?

hi guys, accessing to prepaid packs on iPhones is not possible at the moment.. but here is a trick that can take you directly to the pack sign up page without going through My Vodafone..

use your phone & sms:

'socialise' to 12 66 12 for the "Socialise pack" 150MB + unlimited FB + etc

'favourites' to 12 66 12 for the "Favourites pack" 350MB + unlimited FB + YouTube + etc.

when i click on that link, it says the URL is not found on this server.

what went wrong? im using an iphone 3G
