i'm thinking about adding a mbb service to my vodafone account. however, i'm aware that unlike other carriers, vodafone is going to charge me extra when i use more than the monthly allowance instead of limiting the speed of my service, so, before i go ahead and sign for a 12-month contract, i would like to know that is there any way i can put a limit to my monthly usage that i can be 100% sure i won't get extra charges? (i.e when i use up all my allowance..the service simply cut off by itself, so i won't get a bill shock.)
btw, i'm new to vodafone (was on 3 for years). i used about 80mb internet allowance in my iphone 4s cap yesterday and i tried to check my usage this morning, on both 'myvodafone' and message from 1512 showed that i haven't used any. is that normal?? how long does vodafond update the usage on 'myvodafone' and '1512'? if it's not updated frequently, how am i supposed to keep track on my usage? (i was on optus for 2 years, usage details were usually updated in less than an hour)
Thanks for taking the time to post in the Community, I can certainly help you with your query.
Vodafone does not allow you to set a hard data limit on a plan. The best way to check your usage is through your MyVodafone account, or calling our care team on 1555. However, our Pre Paid MBB will cut off once you reach your limit, and gives you ultimate control over your spend. You can check out all our pre paid MBB deals here.
