Re: WHAT? No H? Only G?

Message 11 of 22 (378 Views)

aah yes, That was from a different issue, I never reciecved an email or PM so I ended up calling. This was because of my simcard taking a month to be activated.

Also, I didn't want to hijack someones thread.

Heheh You like drifting? Rb's Are Nissan, Very commercial motors. Found in VL Commodoors too! :smileyhappy:

Im a big fan of the 20b, Sounds so mean!

I have resolved the funny connection problem.

(could only connect through taskbar)

I downloaded the new software pc--mbbv10-jan2011-vodafoneaus.zip which fixed the connection prob.

(can connect like normal through VMC.)

My only problem now is that my Dongle will not transfer to HSDPA.

Pocketwifi is All good.

I am confident that the network upgrades in your area will improve your data speeds. Just in case I haven't given you the link before, you can keep an eye on planned upgrades in your area on our Network Updates page. We also publish a weekly article on our blog that details all recent upgrades, as well as upgrades that are underway.

If you have any more questions, or would like to resume troubleshooting, please let me know.

Drift safe my friend!

Cheers,

Nick

We will see :smileyhappy:

Yep, I keep my eye on the update page, I was a little confused though.

I type in my postcode 5214 and it comes up a 850Mhz upgrade in Hindmarsh Island.

Is this the Goolwa one aswell? If not will it reach? As they are in the same Postcode

Cheeers.

it's difficult for me to be able to tell if a tower in a different area will affect your service. A tower that is being placed in a suburb next to yours will lighten the usage load on all the other towers in the area, which will mean that an network effectiveness will improve across the whole area.

I hope you find this information helpful :smileyhappy:

Kind Regards,

James.

OK, Its all bad. I Factory-Reset my lappy after the pocketwifi ran out of credit. I was ready to get my Dongle back! The Dongle, To my suprise, still persists to be a persistent pain in the butt! Now i haveto re up-date my PC, Which means another 8-12 GB of Data I need to feed it. Oh yay for pay day huh! I'm not bothering with Vodafone anymore. Since Iv'e had this PC. Every bit of Data I used weather it be from my own or friends, in the end was all a waste of money. Like going to the pokies LOL I am back to when i first bought my PC. The next time I but credit or a new Device will be from a Different ISP. Thats when I can Update my PC.

Hey Tim,

It's disappointing to hear that you're still having trouble connecting your dongle, and I'd really like to help you fix this.

Can you please let me know what model the modem is? It like to check it's compatibility with our network. Have you only had this problem since getting the PC, or were you having issues prior to this? Just to confirm, if you use a different computer, do you have the same problems?

It's great that you've run through some troubleshooting already to try and get this sorted. There are upgrades happening in June in your area, and I'm confident that this will improve the coverage you're receiving at the moment.

Regards,

Sarah.

Hi Sarah, I have 2 K3571-Z which both fail. I done everything including a factory reset. I tried on 2 Computers. Win7 & Vista. The Dongles worked fine untill i got a pocket wifi. Then it went as I mention in earlier posts. Thw Pocketwifi2 slow, The Dongles are fast. In a Nutshell I have used my credit on the slow Pocketwifi. LOL I managed to expire the credit before i ran out. (3GB) Pffffffffffft! After the factory reset i have been to the library to use the Internet. ( On my laptop ) It comes up just over 8GB sofar of Updates I need to do. I need the internet. And the next time I have it i needd to update. I have to choose- Pay for slow net and be loyal or Get on 4G and just be happy. Obvious desicion. I have the Pocketwifi and will test the new 850 network in June. Cheers.

Hey Tim,

Thanks very much for the information.

You mentioned both dongles aren't working now, did you use the same SIM when testing each dongle, and the Pocket WiFi? I would like to check if there is an issue with your SIM card or device itself.

As a test, are you able to take your Pocket WiFi and Dongles, and test them in another location covered by our 850MHz network (Maybe a friend or family member's house)? I'd like to determine whether this is location based.

I'd like to move this coversation private, so I can access your account and investigate this further for you. I have sent you a private message containing my contact email and information I'll need from you. Can you also include the answers to the questions I asked above.

Please be aware that I'm unable to assist via private message, and will wait for your email or community reply.

Regards,

Sarah.

Hey again, Yes, I Have tried 2 Dongles, And 3 sim-cards all fail. I my self have come to the realization that it is the device. As i Factory reset my PC. I actually realized its Vodafone. After experiencing a new ISP. I can't test if it's the location as 850MHz is a little to far away to travel, Just for this purpose. Another representative asked to make a private conversation, All I have received is "Congratulation messages for being promoted in Vodafone. I'm still waiting heheh. I have temporarily switched ISP. This 4G is amazing. I will come back in June to see if anything has changed. I have done everything on my part, and blatantly, just don't want to deal with it, I am not a IT technician nor am I an ISP consultant.
