I have been travelling around the south west of WA and have had NO vodafone coverage for 3 weeks. I lashed out and bought an opposition mobile broadband kit so I could keep in touch with family.
Fired up the vodafone BB today and oh my god ...how did I ever use this service. I have 4 bars of signal and its almost unusable. Plug in the 'other dongle and zip bam pow ...away we go.
Im taking my phone over to the other side tomorrow and I have 1 month left on my BB contract here then ...seeya.
You guys just cant compete on coverage , service and network speed.

Hi Dean,
It's really disappointing to hear that you're unhappy with the coverage you've received whilst travelling, I'd really like to look in to this for you.

If you let me know exactly what area you're in, and where you are travelling to, I can have a look at the coverage in these areas and check for any known issues. Have you received sufficient coverage in these areas previously?
Have you been facing poor coverage anywhere else, such as home, or just whilst you're travelling?
Once I know the above, I'll be able to investigate this further for you.
Regards,
Sarah.

Hi Sarah and thanks for the reply. There is nothing you can do . 3 exaples (out of MANY)
Albany to Esperance (over 400km) ...Nothing
Geraldton to Carnarvon (over 500km) Nothing nada diddly squat
Port Headland and inland to marble Bar and down the center of WA - Nothing.
Even a lot of the southwest corner of WA ihas soooooo many black spots its not funny.
So unless your going to instal a huge amount of towers really soon to cover these areas then im off to the other side (who do have coverage in these areas)
Thanks anyway.

Hi Dean,
We have completed works and have more work scheduled in some of the areas you've mentioned; rather than placing a big list here, you're able to search any post code you'd like to know more about on our network upgrades page here. However some areas you've mentioned such as Marble Bar, don't currently have any listed coverage or scheduled upgrades.
Which broadband device are you currently using? If it's not an 850mhz 3G compatible device, you may not be taking full advantage of our latest network roll out. I'd love to see you stay with us, but equally I want to make sure the service is going to work in the places that you need it.
Thanks, Bart.
