Hi guys
Enjoying my time with the Galaxy S3 and improving service around Hobart - thanks.
I am experiencing some problems with internet browsing. One entering an address, it can take over a minute 'waiting' (assume this is the DNS lookup?) before it begins to load a page. Once started, pages load at normal speed, video streaming works etc. The initial delay seems to occur whether the page is frequently visited or not.
I'm experiencing this issue both in the standard browser on the handset and via laptop when tethered.
The phone didn't behave like this when I first received it. The only configuration change I can recall making is downloading the PXT/MMS setup from your website. Not sure if this affects browsing at all.
Thanks for any advice you can offer,
rr

Glad to hear you are enjoying our upgrades in and around Hobart, We are based in Hobart and I'm also loving them especially in the Northern Suburbs and on the Eastern Shore.

I appreciate you letting me know it's only occurring when you attempt to load a new page. It's great to hear that once its loaded there is no trouble occurring.
You mentioned this only started happening after you updated the PXT settings on the device.
Can you please try backing up and then restoring your handset to factory settings. I just want to see if it reverts to how it was working originally prior to this issue occurred.
If you are not sure how to do this you can find the instructions to back up your device Here & the instructions to restore your phone Here.
Have a great day and enjoy the sunshine.

Hi Jess
Thanks for your response.
I've reset the phone to factory settings (twice, argh!). Restored most of my data from Kies, but deliberately avoided reloading application config files and network settings.
At first glance, things seem more responsive than before. Haven't had time to test it fully, so I'll check in again once I have.
