Hi,
The problem continues to get worse, tonight 5 drop outs in 5 minutes this morning three dop outs, the phone states No network conection. Please we are only 6 ks from the centre of Melbourne this level of coverage is not good, looking at your comments it will only get worse until some fixe next year? By that time will you have many subscribers left? Will changing phones make a difference or is it signal dependant ? Is there anything that I can d before I throw the phone on the floor?

Hi Sedon,
It's great to see you've already completed some important troubleshooting. I would love to have the issues you are experiencing investigated. I can see that Bruno has sent you a private message which you can access here. The private message contains our email contact details for you to send your Vodafone account information to.
Once we have received your email, the issues you are experiencing will be raised with our Network Team for a thorough investigation.
Thanks,

I just received an entirely new device from vodafone after I sent mine for repair. I did some speed test at different locations. sad to say that nothing's improved. this new device performs exactly with my original unit. tested at cbd, guildford, and queens park (all Perth) area and speed shown are between 0.31Mbps/0. 17Mbps to 0.61Mbps/0. 41Mbps. not only it's slow, its also very laggy. sometimes I need to wait up to 10 seconds before it start loading each page.
Thanks for letting us know you're experiencing the same issues with your new device. I can see through your email trail with us that Jess has asked for you to let her know if you if the issue persists. If you could please send through an email to us, we will definitely find the next best step to take in regards to resolving these issues for you.
Thanks,
Cait

Seems I am not the only one suffering the same problems with the PocketWIFI-2. I am having the same issues with the modem continously dropping out.
Everything is showing ok from the laptop to modem, but modem to internet is not so good. I have one through the troubleshooting checks from reseting the modem. Reception is not a problem at all since I am in Werribee 3030.
Is there any follow ups on the issues being rectified?. I have a pre-paid plan, so I would hate to see my money go down the drain if I have to let it expire without using it.

If you're having issues with your service then I'm here to help and I'd love to work with you to get the dropping out sorted as soon as possible.

I've checked the service in Werribee and you shouldn't be having any issues with your service. I'd just like to go through some additional troubleshooting steps with you so I can isolate the issue.

Could you please let me know if you've tried switching to 3G only when you completed the troubleshooting and if you did what experience you had? If you haven't yet please see these instructions on how to do this and let me know how it goes and if it improves your service?
Did you try moving the modem around different areas of your house and was the experience the same with the drop outs? Also, could you please let me know how long you think you've been having the drop outs for?
Please let me know how all this goes and we can take the next steps from there.
Thank you,
Charlotte

All i can say is that Vodafone is absolute crap. All the rubbish about the new 850 network, well it has done absolutely nothing for me. Slow, if any at all internet connection, dropouts continue and promises that the issue will be resolved. Well bring on November, it will be good bye forever, i am not putting up with absolute rubbish service anymore. Vodafone should be closed down for not delivering a service, and holding you to contract. How would people feel if they had to return to any other poor service provider because they were tied in to a contract. Your great 850 network is actually slower than dial up, go figure that one.

I'd like to discuss this with you a little more, so I've sent you a quick email. Get back to me when you can, and we'll go from there.
Kind Regards,

Vodafone's mobile internet has been appualling since Three went under. The congestion has meant that an already lagging network has slowed to a crawl for many. Not all are experiencing this but it's very poor nonetheless. I've been seeking answers for over a year and recently contacted customer service twice only to get cut off mid-call both times plus emailed technical support about my disgust. With no sufficient explanation and my time & money not going far with Vodafone I've done the only thing that it seems can be done, switching networks. People only have so much patience and unless vodafone does something about the traffic more people will take their business elsewhere.
