Can someone please advise if the pocket wifi 2 device can be connected via USB port on Router (eg Asus RT-N56U) and then share the internet connection via ethernet ports.
I have 3 computers throughout my house that struggle to get more than 1 bar from the pocket wifi via wireless connection (unless I move the pocket wifi closer to it.
It would be good if the computers could get internet via the ethernet.

Not sure about using usb connection to connect wifi2 to router, but why not use a router that can work in Bridge mode?
The router will connect to the wifi wirelessly and the computers will connect to the router's LAN ports. Any router that can be upgraded with DD-WRT firmware would do nicely - check their database here: http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/router-database

Spent several hours trying to get my ASUS WL520GC into WDS mode and AP mode (and hybrid).
Also spent time trying to downgrade the FW as per instructions 1 and 2 but FW upgrade fail.
Think the AUS FW is sufficient, as I also tried to broadcast a second wireless network, and sharing the internet connection on a connected PC, I'm unable to get devices to obtain an IP address. Must be incorrect settings (with both DHCP on/off on WL520GC)

Hi User30757,
Some routers can do this however it's not something that we support. You may be interested in looking at getting a sharing dock, as these will allow you to get the Internet via the Ethernet.
The Vodafone Wifi Sharing dock will increase your coverage for multiple devices. For more information please click here. These devices are available in store now and you can locate your nearest Vodafone store by clicking here.
Please let me know if you have any further questions regarding this and I'll help you.
Thanks,
Maddie

Thanks
Its actually a shame the pocket wifi doesn't have an ethernet port!
Anyway - discovered problem with WL520gc was incorrect defaut gateway. I was using the router address - and not the shared internet connection on the PC its conencted to.

Your Pocket Wi-Fi can connect up to 5 devices to the internet at any one time, but will not connect the devices to each-other.
The sharing dock is designed to do essentially the same thing, with a single USB modem, but does also have the inbuilt function of connecting your devices to each-other.
I cannot specifically confirm if your wireless printer is compatible with either of those devices or not, as it's not something that we have sold.
