Pocket WiFi will only connect to the internet via USB connection.

Please help, my Pocket WiFi I bought today will only connect to the internet through the USB. My iPhone will connect any time, but once I take out the WiFi from the USB port, the internet disconnects. I've tried everything, uninstalling, refreshing, looking for a new network etc

You've made an excellent choice with a Pocket WIFI modem.  They're absolutely fantastic when it comes to being able to access the Internet especially when you're on the move.  I'd really love to make sure you experience the full benefit of your new modem and ensure your Internet is up and running as soon as possible for you.

 

You've mentioned that you have an iPhone which has no problem connecting to your modem which confirms that the issue isn't directly with the modem itself.  The steps you've already taken are great but there can be many factors that may be causing the inability to connect for you.  I'd like to go through some questions with you which will help to narrow down the cause.

 

Does anything in particular occur when you attempt to connect using the modem unplugged from your computer?  For example, are you finding the Pocket WIFI isn't displayed as an available connection in your Wireless Networks list on your computer or does the modem attempt to connect but nothing displays on the modem or computer screen confirming you're connected?

Lastly to ensure I can provide you with the appropriate instructions suitable for your computer please let me know the kind of computer you're using (PC or Mac) and which software version is installed (eg Vista).
