Hi
I've been using the mobile broadband for the past 1.5 years and it works really well until a few months ago the connection becomes worst and sometimes I couldn't access to the internet at all.
Initially, when I access the internet, it started to disconnect after a while and when I clicked "connect" again, a box popped out stating:
"Mobile connection not possible.
- Set your current mobile device as the default
device in the 'Manage Devices' view
- Ensure that no other programs are using your
mobile device and try again in a short while
- Delete the device in the 'Manage Devices' view,
add it back again, and then try connecting.
If this error persists, please contact Support
at your mobile network operator.
Support information:
RAS error code 608"
Everytime I tried to restart the laptop and it usually allowed me to access the internet again.
However during these few months, there were times where it was connected to the 3G network but I couldn't access to the internet at all. This problem becomes more and more frequent and there were a few times where I couldn't access to the internet the whole day. I tried restarting the laptop, uninstall and install the Vodafone Mobile Connect program again but it all doesn't work. The signal was excellent (5 bars). The model of my device is K3765 and software version (9.4.4.19931).
I really hope this problem can be fixed as soon as possible as I desperately need the internet to do my work.

Hey Chloe
Do you have a prepaid usb modem? It's time to update your software. The latest version available is 10.1.1.26030.
Here's the page with the download link:
http://www.vodafone.com.au/help/mobilebroadband/in
It's a biggish download - 81MB - so perhaps do it via ADSL or at work.
Cheers

Hi Peter
Thanks for your advise. I've tried installing the latest version but it still doesn't work. Couldn't access the internet at all.

OK, sorry to hear that.
Taking it step by step, were you able to update the software?
Does the computer recognise the K3765 modem?
Is the modem working, ie can you see either a steady or blinking light - green, blue or light blue?
Which colour? Steady blue or light blue means it's connected to a 3G network.
What about when you run the Connection Manager? Any details here?
You could download the Quick Start Guide and see if that helps.
Let me know - Peter
