Re: Banner text of Nortel VPN connection restricted by Vodafone network

Hi Maddie,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

- My employer has the device on a monthly contract, so I think this means it is pre-paid.

- The device I'm using is a "Vodafone mobile broadband USB stick" model K4511.

- I have only just started trying to use the device, so have not succeeded in previously using it to connect over the VPN. However, my manager has successfully used the device to establish a VPN connection when using his Windows XP laptop. Also, the device does allow me to browse the web, but just fails when trying to use it at the same time as the VPN.

- I'm not sure what my APN is set as, this must have been configured automatically at some stage. How would I check the APN value or change it?

Thanks again,

Dylan

I have just had a chat with the Specialist Tech Team, And they have advised that there was an issue however it has now been fixed.

If you would like to let me know where you are located, this will allow us to dig a little deeper for you and get this resolved as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Bree

Nice one, I will give it another try this weekend and let you know if the problem has been resolved.

I've ended up on the Australian forum as this thread seemed to be referring to exactly the same problem as I was having.

Let me know if I need to go to the UK forum / support?

It would be great to delve further into this for you, however, since you are using a Vodafone UK service, you will need to speak with the support team in the Vodafone UK as different troubleshooting steps (such as the right APN to use) will be required for you.

You can find the best way to contact the Vodafone UK team here.

Cheers,

Cait
