Hi lesmcg,
Thanks for your post, and we're sorry you had to join the Community because things aren't working at all for you. We'd rather see you under better circumstances to be honest.
The help and support team have a varied set of duties here and don't get to posts right away, I've seen yours in the queue and wanted to reassure you that we're here 7 days a week and the team will definitely get to your post in the next 24 hours. In the meantime if you've got any more information they could use (or pass along to our technical team if we need to) it could help.
What sort of computers/devices are you connecting with apart from the iphone?
Are you seeing any error messages or do the other devices say they are connected to the Wifi and just don't work?
Does it work if you move closer to the pocket wifi? In store you would have been right beside the wifi with your iPhone, but at home are you further away?
And just to be certain, have you tried switching off or unplugging the TV, microwave and any other devices just to test? Wifi uses the same frequency as some other devices in the house and it could be something interfering.
Let us know if there's any extra information, and otherwise sit tight, the team will be along as soon as they can ![]()

Sounds like the Pocket WiFi is OK if it works when it's connected to the PC by USB cable.
Do your devices - phones, laptops, etc - pick up the wifi signal properly? Wifi signals normally have an identifying name, eg Pocket Wifi..., so you can tell which one's yours.
If you can see your device's signal, can you connect to it? It's dead easy, but you'll have to enter a password the first time you connect if security is turned on in the wifi unit.
Still got problems? Dropouts, etc? Could be interference to wifi from microwave ovens, AV senders, cordless phones.
Any more clues?
