so does this mean that if you have 500MB and it is split 1/2 and 1/2 does that mean that when you have used the half on domestic data that it then used GPRS

Thanks

I would generally suggest that your data won't be split down the middle. If you have 500MB of data, it is more likely to show something like 450MB GPRS + 50MB of national data, or something similar. You total monthly allowance is the combined total of the two. In no way does it matter which of these gets used first each month.

So basically, if your total monthly allowance is 500MB, it doesn't matter how it's split, you get 500MB of data to use each month. Does this clear things up? I know it can be a little bit confusing, but if the separate amounts under your usage add your total monthly allowance, then everything is in order!

Thanks,
Nick

Hi Cubbzie,

Neither is faster - both use data exactly the same - the only difference is the name of the bundle :smileyhappy: If you're in an area covered by 3G, your handset will use that for data, and if not, it will use 2G or EDGE, regardless of which bundle the data is deducted from

If you have any more questions about your data bundles, please post back!

Thanks,

Kirsty.

i don't understand why do you need to separate in to two data plan, where it'll end up the same amount of data we're getting. i just got charge 110 extra for using 900mb data, where i'm entitle for 1.5gb data, is that because i used up all my free gprs data? where i still have my domestic data unused? please explain

Hi f0xz,

You are seeing two separate data amounts because of the way our plan components are fit together. Your plan comes with 1.5GB of data built in, which is made up of the Domestic Data that is included in the plan when we activate it, as well as the Free GPRS that we add to bring you up to your 1.5GB worth of data per month. There is absolutely no difference between 'Domestic Data' and 'Free GPRS', as they both go towards your overall data limit of 1.5GB.

You mentioned that you were charged $110 extra for using 900MB of data, was this for going over your 1.5GB limit by 900MB, or did you use 900MB all up, and receive an extra charge of $110? It sounds as though you may have exceeded your data limit, which has prompted an extra charge to be added to your bill.

I hope this information helps, and I look forward to your answers.

Kind Regards,

James.

Will it have extra charge if I use Internet under "E"? Cos when I was with three, they told me that the data I use under E is not included in the free data package. How is it with Vodafone, if I have 2Gb data. Thanks.

Hi YG,

You will not be charged extra to use data when your Vodafone service is connected to "E" (Edge). However, you may find the data service slower than when connected to 3G.

Thanks,

Cait
