Suspend Account

I have been advised by a Vodafone shop assistant that l can suspend my account online but l can't find where to do this. I am travelling overseas for 7 weeks and wish to suspend my account. Can someone please assist?

Hey there Butlermj,

 

I have found some info for you on how to suspend your account.

 

Since you are going for 7 weeks, this should be easy done.

 

Follow the steps in the link below and you should find all the info needed:

 

http://support.vodafone.com.au/articles/FAQ/Suspend-your-contract

 

Be also advised that you will still have to make a small monthly payment while your plan is being suspended. What will also happen, you contract will extend for that period you suspend your account.

You can definitely suspend your contract by following the instructions ItsMoe linked to (thanks itsmoe!) and calling 1555 - but I can also do this for you!

When are you going overseas? Seven weeks is a long trip - I hope it's for pleasure and you have a great trip! Are you planning on taking your Vodafone phone overseas with you? You may need to unlock your phone so you can use it with a non Vodafone AU SIM. Unlocking is a simple process, and you can do it online here.

I am taking my phone with me and and a very helpful Vodafone shop assistant unlocked it for me :smileyhappy:

Hello,

 

I want to suspend my contract aswell too because I am no longer stay in Australia, My 24 months contract just ended, however, I graduated and back to my hometown already. How can I stop my payments.

By the way, I m still 3 customers.

I can absolutely help you out with this. There are a couple of questions I would like to ask you firstly to make sure that we're both on the same page.

 

Can you please let me know if you're looking at returning to Australia? - If so you may be interested in switching your Australian Number to Pre Paid so that your number stays active and you can use it upon your return. Alternatively, you can suspend your number, keeping in mind that you can only do this for 3 months at a maximum.

 

If you're not returning to Australia, you might be more interested in disconnecting your number all together.
