Problems with a Refund/Transfer

Message 1 of 3 (221 Views)

Hi, New User here.

Have a bit of a problem though, I got my Galaxy S2 11 Months ago on a 24 month contract, thing is I couldn't get it under my name, so my GF Got it under hers but the phone was purely mine and I paid the bill every month.  Then when I got a full time job, I decided I wanted the phone under my name, so we did the process no worries there no problems.

Until it was time to pay my new bill, I Bpay on the day I get paid, and not realising I payed my bill under the old account, next day on my way to work it hit me that I did  that, so when I got home, called Voda to explain and that I wanted the 70 I payed on the old account transfered to the new account, guy said that my GF had to call to request it, so she did, the first guy put a note on my account about it for whoever took the call, so my GF called and asked for the transfer, the guy said it was fine to do, he did it, told us to wait 48 hours we did and I checked my account..still owed 70 Dollers.  A couple of days later I got an email about the old account, the account was 65 Dollers in Credit..not what we wanted, so we called up again on Thursday to ask about it and to hopefully get it transfered, the new gy said it was all good wait 48 hrs, it's now 4 days after the fact and nothing has changed.

So, my question is, that is there anything I should be doing or wait?  Or is there something anyone can do to help process this along.

Sorry for the long post and thank you in advance for any help.

It's a simple mistake to make! I'm glad you worked out quickly what had happened and called us to discuss it. Transfers can only occur between accounts that are in the same name, and you've mentioned the old account was in your girlfriend's account, and the new account is in your's. We definitely should have explained this to you the first time you called, and I'm truly sorry this has not happened in your instance.

Usually, we would refund the incorrect payment on your girlfriend's account, and you'd then be able to pay your account. You've mentioned that several days have passed between when you first noticed the error, and you're probably a little concerned about your unpaid account.

Don't worry, I'll be able to fix this with you. I will need your account details though, and we can't discuss those here in our Community. I've sent you through a Private Message (PM) with my email contact details, and the info I will need to help. You can access your PMs here, or by clicking on the envelope icon in the top right of your screen.

I'm looking forward to resolving this with you!

Thanks,

Kirsty.
