I am currently on a 24 month plan and I was wondering if there was anyway to upgrade the phone. I currently have a HTC desire hd and I was wondering what charges there would be to get a Samsung nexus? my plan runs out in April 2013

Hi jasminl,

As far as my knowledge goes about phone upgrades, the The Samsung Galaxy Nexus would cost you somewhere between 50-60$ a month on top of your current monthly bill till the end of you contract in April.

You may have many other options before upgrading. Can you let us know to why you want upgrade? Is your desire HD not working or just bored with it?

Cheers.

Hey Jesminl,

Well what you can do is, take it for repairs. They should be able to flash it for you with the latest update and should hopefully make it run better. If the handset is still sluggish the Vodafone might offer your a swap for another refurbished handset.

Handset upgrades are usually the handset's outright price decided by the remain number of month in your contract. So that might be a little too expensive for you as an option.

Vodafone are usually a little flexible when It comes to renewing your contract for a further 2 years. They usually waive 2-3 months of your contract if your contract is about to expire but since you have about 9 months left then you best option is to take it for repairs and hope for the best :smileyhappy:

Sorry this is the best I can provide you with, but one of the guys will be in contact with you soon, they will ask you for more info and details to have access to your account and advise you further.

Let me know if there is anything I can assist with.

Hi jasminl,

If you're phone is starting to get a little slow, it can be from a few different factors, such as age or being over loaded with apps and programs. Have you tried clearing a little space in your storage, and then performing a master reset? I had a HTC not to long ago, and noticed my phone was starting to get a little sluggish, so I got rid of a few excess apps and performed a reset and it started working as it did when I first got it.

Itsmoe also made mention of our repair centres. If you'd like to have you phone checked for any issues that may be making it run slowly, you can take it to your nearest Vodafone store and have it sent away for repair. If you'd like to know where your nearest Vodafone store is, you can find out by visiting our website, here. This will be the best way to find out if your device has any issues that are stopping it from working perfectly.

If you're looking for a new device, you'll be able to get one by taking out an MPP, which stands for Mobile Payment Plan. An MPP will allow you to choose the device of your choice and pay it off  with an extra monthly fee over 6, 12, 18 or 24 month period. The price of the monthly fee will be determined by the handset you choose and the time you decide to pay it off over. If you would like a little more information on MPP's, you can do so by clicking here.

If an MPP sounds like a good option for you, I'll be able to help you get one placed on your account. I'll need a couple of your account details to do that, so I've sent a PM to your inbox requesting a some of your specific information. Please click here to open your inbox, and If you'd like to get back to me when you can, I'll get you some handset pricing and set you up with the one that suits you best.

If you've got any other questions or queries, please let me know.

Kind Regards,

James.
