Message 1 of 8 (511 Views)

Hello,

I am curently on 12 months 59$ cap and I am very happy with it.

My contract is finishing in January , but my phone has died (iphone 4 8gb). Is there a change I can replace it now and sign a new contract?

Thank you

Sorrry it does take awhile for people to answer on the forum....

ok well first thing first.. you can always take your phone into a vodafone store for repair it has a 24month warranty and they will most of the time lend you a loan phone while its getting fixed.. If they cant fix your phone or for some reason they wont (e.g smashed screen, Which you can repair on your own)  then their is another option and its called a MPP

Which is simply an extra payment you add to your monthly plan and you get a new phone.. The price is worked out by the price of the phone divided by the term you put it on e.g 24 months or 12 months....

sometimes they do offer early upgrade but you have a bit to long to go for that to be an option

another option albeit an expensive one is you  could pay out your current contract and simply go to a new plan with a new phone..

If you have any other questions or would like more info about your options just reply to this message and i'll come back

Hey there mihailob,

The best thing to do at this stage is to take your handset into the nearest Vodafone store for it to be assessed:

http://www.vodafone.com.au/tools/locator

Repair usually takes around a week depending on the severity of the issues. If the handset cannot be repaired, you will be provided with a refurbished handset within the same price range, or most likely the same handset.

However, if the handset is fixed but you are still facing issues, there is a 3 time repair policy which states that if the handset is not repaired after 3 attempts, you will be eligible for a replacement handset.

Before taking into consideration any extra payments, try the above.

It's great to hear that you're enjoying your Vodafone service, and you've definitely come to the right place for help with your handset.

As the guys have mentioned above, you'll be able to take your handset to your nearest Vodafone store for assessment, and if the need arises, we can send your device to a repair centre to have our technicians fix any issues that are affecting your handset's ability to function at its full capacity. Just follow the link Ahmato has kindly provided above, which will give you all the specifics you need to know on how our repair centres work.

The other option we have for you is to look at getting another handset on an MPP, which stands for Mobile Payment Plan. An MPP will allow you to pick a handset of your choice from our range, and tack on an extra monthly fee to your bill, over a 6, 12, 18 or 24 month period. The amount of the monthly fee is determined by the handset you choose, and the amount of time you decide to pay it off over. If you'd like to know a little more on MPPs, you can do so by clicking here.

If an MPP sounds like something you may be interested in, or you require extra assistance with your handset repair, I've sent you a PM with instructions on how to send your account specific details through to me, and you can access your PMs by clicking this link. Once you send your info through, I can give you some pricing on different handsets, and find the best outcome for you.

If you've got any other questions, be sure to let me know.

Kind Regards,

James.

That's true Bruno, nothing feels better than an un boxing of a new handset.
