National Data on invoice

Message 1 of 5 (393 Views)

I am on $49 plan, which includes $500 any time dollar, 1GB domastic data and 500MB GPRS data.

In the invoice, the total usage is $351.4 whitch includes $125.74 of  national data (553MB).

Here are my questions:

  • 1. If my calls and txt usage is $500, and I use 1500MB of data, would there be any extra charge?
  • 2. If answer for question 1 is yes, please explain why.
  • 3. In myvodafone, is there anyway to NOT include the data usage under anytime dollar?

thanks,

Ning

Ok.. i think i know whats happening in your bill.. What has probably happened is instead of using 1.5gb of data you may have used 1.5 GB olus an additional 553mb

I think thats whats going on...

And to answer Q3 no it is not possible to include Data in your anytime dollar amount... I know I know sucks dont it.

Thanks for the reply.
But this is not what happened.
1.5GB data and $500 call usage is my assumption, not what happened.
Let me explain my Q3, when I check my usage, data usage always showing under both any time dollar and data allowance.
And I don't want the data includes under any time dollar section.

Hey NingK,

No. As long as you stay within your monthly allowance, you won't be charged for additional usage.

Take note that there may be services which aren't included in your plan that you pay extra for. This include things like premium TXT or international roaming, but it varies depending on your which plan you're on. Check the details of your plan through My Vodafone, here, to see exactly what is and isn't included in your plan.

Do you mean that under your usage details it shows a charge against data you've used? This is normal, and doesn't mean that your being charged out of your monthly call allowance.

Your usage details will look something like this:

Date     Time     Usage Type     Number Called     Call Duration     Period        Call Charge     Charged Amount

xxxx       xxx         PKTInternet      xxxKB                      xxx                        All Day        $xxx.xx               $xxx.xx

You will see an amount under 'Call Charge' for any data used. The important part is the 'Charged Amount' column. If data is coming out of your allowance it will show zero. The 'Charged Amount' column will only show an amount once you've used your monthly allowance, and you've started getting excess charges.

This does mean that your data usage will be mixed up with your calls and TXTs. There is no way to change this.

Or do you mean what zabzabcanfly suggested? That your data allowance is split in to a 1GB allowance and a 500MB allowance?

We cannot combine them in to one. As you can see in zabzabs picture example, data that you use will firstly come from one of the 1GB Domestic Data until it's gone, before it switched and you start using the GPRS Bundle. Ultimately though, your total data allowance each month is total of the two. Make sense?

Data usage won't come out of your call allowance. Your Anytime Dollar Bundle is your call allowance in this case. Any usage showing up under the Anytime Dollar Bundle is for calls or TXTs, not data.

It important to be aware that data usage will never come out of your call allowance. The two are separate. If you happen to use more than your allowed data in a given month, the excess charges go on top of your plan cost- they excess data charges won't come out of any remaining call allowance for that month.

I hope that helps to clear everything up for you. If it doesn't, please let us know. We're here to help.

Have a great afternoon.

Thanks,

Nick
