Hi All,
I am watching my first month's phone and data usage carefully and I need help interpreting the usage details.
So far, my account summary shows $30.44 of $180 used. I downloaded the csv file of the details.
Of the bill total of $30.18, $27.67 is related to SMS, calls, etc. and $2.51 of my $180 allowance is PKT Internet.
The data usage is also being deducted from my Domestic Data Anytime Bundle.
My question is: If it is coming from my data allowance, why is it also coming off my "$180 Included Value"?
I am paying for a data and phone bundle. Accruing data charges against the phone bundle in addition to the data bundle is short-changing me.
Can someone please explain to me whether this is normal to have both allowances deducted from simultaneously?

When you use a service (call/TXT/data etc.) that is included under as part of your plan, your usage details will show a couple of charges: the first will be the total amount that service would have cost had it not been included in your plan, and the amount you've actually been charged for your service after the costs have been deducted from your monthly allowance.
As an example, for a data session you might see the following listed under your usage details:
Date Time Usage Type Number Called Call Duration Period Call Charge Charged Amount
xxxx xxx PKTInternet xxxKB xxx All Day $xxx.xx $xxx.xx
The column labelled 'Call Charge' will list the total cost of that data session, before the data is deducted from your allowance.
The next column, 'Charged Amount', shows the actual amount that's has been applied to your bill. The 'Charged Amount' column will show $0.00 until you've used your monthly allowance. Once you've reached your limit, you will be charged for excess usage, which will show under the charged amount column.
It's certainly not normal to be charged for usage from your data allowance and your call/TXT allowance. If what I've mentioned above doesn't help to explain what you're seeing, then please get back to me. I'm certain I'll be able to assist further from there.
Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick. It is not being charged; I can confirm that.
It is being deducted in monetary value from my call allowance as well as being deducted from my data allowance.
This is the issue. I have an allowance for calls, sms etc. I have a data allowance for data.
My data usage is being deducted from my call allowance and is also being deducted from my data allowance.

Hi ksabee, my call allowance is being reduced by the theoretical data charges. It is also coming off my data allowance. Both remaining balances are decreasing as a result of data usage. I am sorry if I was not clear.

This definitely isn't the way we normally calculate your charges before they're finalized and sent out on your bill. From here, I'd like to review the charges on your account, to ensure everything is running smoothly, so you're able to continue using your service.
I've sent you a PM with instructions on how to send your information through, and you can access your PMs by clicking this link. Once you send your info through, I'll be sure to make any changes that are needed to fix the issue.
If you've got any other questions, let me know.
Kind Regards,
James.

Hi All, I just thought I would put an update on here as it has been a while.
Voda contacted me and discussed the issue (over 15 emails - whew) I was repeating myself a fair bit. I felt quite frustrated with the cycle and was willing to give up. My last email to them was a bit abrupt citing how patronised I felt at that stage.
In the end I still do not have the issue resolved and I have not had any contact from them for a week.
Today when I downloaded my csv file of usage, I found the following "Call Charge":
$ 9.48 Internet PKT
$60.20 Calls etc from all other billing codes
$69.68 Total
My "Anytime dollar bundles" shows the following:
$66.22 of $180 used.
OK, so it's only a $3.46 discrepancy, but, really, if I have a small error, is there another customer out there with a huge bill as a result of this small miscalculation on their account?
If Voda responds and tells me it has not been charged or we can't see anything wrong or please tell me again but in different words, I think I will scream.
