Abnormal increase in PKT data

hi,

i'm on a vodafone blackberry plan $29 a month +$10. Blackberry curve.

i've always paid the normal 39 or a little more but recently i got an email saying my month spend is $1012.39 !!!!

i use the internet and email mostly and via the Blackberry server ,

 i've checked the spend and data usage and it says 23/7/11- PKT 83114kb and 21/07/11-PKT 152229

i've switched off the data services after i saw this and am worried and not happy about this recent increase in cost.

can you please help explain to me what happened?

Thanks for your post, I certainly want to get this resolved for you as soon as possible.

 

As of July 8th we have instated a correction to our data charges. Further information on this can be found in this "Thread"

 

I can see the examples you provided of the dates these heavy usage days occurring, can you advise the start date to your bill cycle?

 

You mentioned that you received an email from us advising you of the spend. Was this your monthly bill?

 

Do you use any media heavy services such as youtube or online radio stations via your handset?

Hi Jess, Thank you for responding!,

 

currently i have 39.42  due 05/08/2011 .  i got an sms saying i have $0 remaining till it  16/of month? then another sms saying this months spend has hit 920.  i checked my online account usage and it says 920.36 (sorry the $1056. was for call charge).

i use the internet on the mobile, mainly google news and twitter but i have blackberry service so never been charged for data/internet usage.  i dont use youtube or download as the blackberry screen is too small to see anything besides text!

ii've also noticed some of the blackberry service has logged in at 15hrs???? thats not possible because i can't be on the internet for that long, i have a life. Can you please look into this as its getting out of hand and i'm very stressed about it.

Thank you for letting me know these details, it sounds as though the Data correction charges have possible added this extra charge on your account, but as it’s $920.36, a significant amount I think we should have a look at this further for you.

hi,

after a week of emailing a solution was found for my problem to the credit of Jemma and then another week for Dave to help fix the dat/blackberry server access issue.

However a week later i get another sms saying i owe 920.36 and my account has been suspended, again!

Can someone help me (again) i'm getting abit tired of this and disappointed with Vodafone and it's inability to have a working system.
