Hi

I am heading overseas for couple of years and am thinking of converting my $35 Sim Only Cap to 365 Day Recharge (Prepaid) in order to preserve my current number.

My questions are:

1. Is this possible to be done?

2. How long would it take to do the conversion?

3. After being converted to Prepaid, can I convert it back to Postpaid in the future?

Thank you for posting on the Community and welcome! It's a great idea you've got for when you travel overseas.

As you are on a SIM only cap plan, you can quite easily change to pre paid and when you are ready, you can re apply to convert your number back to post paid.

You can do this by calling our customer care team on 1555 ( a free call from your Vodafone number ) or 1300 650 410 from any other number and the process can take up to 24-48 hours to be completed. Once this process is completed, you'll just need to recharged - and don't forget to recharged when the 365 days are up

Can I buy $35 plan for my existing SIM?

I tried to buy online but there is a compulsary to buy SIM with this plan.

If you do head to online store this will cause you to purchase a new connection which is what we want to avoid. If you have a prepaid connection with Vodafone all you need to do is change your recharge option. Please keep in mind you may lose other credits you have built up depending on the recharge you are currently on.

If you are currently on a plan and are looking to change to a month by month plan for $35 per month you can view the plan inclusions Here. If you are still under contract you will not be able to change to a SIM only plan until your contract period has been completed.
