Hi
On Friday (14th Oct) my phone (Galaxy S2) froze after restarting it the phone didnt recognise the sim card. I went to a vodafone store where they gave me a new sim card but still my phone wont recognise the sim card (It works in my old phone). Having looked through the settings it now displays the baseband version and IMEI as unknown. Should I take the phone back to the vodafone store

Hi,
That definitely is something that will need to be taken to a Vodafone store to be assessed, as it sounds like an error with the device itself (you mentioned the SIM works fine in another device).
Please let me know how you travel with it, I'm very interested to know the result of what has happened!
Thanks, Bart.

Thank you Bart
I took the phone into a vodafone shop and it has been sent for repair I got a message today stating it had arrived at the repair center. I will keep you informed as to how it progresses, however I am unable to access www.vodafone.co.uk/repairs to keep track of it that way. Tried accessing on a couple of computers just comes up with a connection problem.

Hi Doodlepaul,
Thanks for letting us know you have got your phone in for repair. Are you in the UK? You will have to contact Vodafone UK with regards to the website as this is the support Community for Vodafone Australia.
Cheers,
Nige.
