Hi there,
According to the Vodafone blog we are currently in day 23 of the rollout of WP 7.5 to the Lumia 800 here in Australia. 80% of users should have received the option to upgrade their phone. I checked this morning - and it seems I am not one of them.
I am keenly awaiting Internet tethering for my Lumia 800.
Has anyone received, or heard of anyone receiving the update as the documentation suggests?
Cheers,
James.

I can certainly appreciate that you're keen to get this update, 7.5 sees some really great features added to the Windows Phone software.
The upgrade roll-out should now be completed, have you received the update to your handset since your post on Friday?
If you still haven't received the update, I'd really like to look into this further for you.
I'll need to get some more specific information to track down your update for you, so I've sent you a private message with my contact details. Once I've received your email, I find out why you have not yet received the update.
In the meantime, please let me know if you have any other questions or if there is anything else that I can help you with.
Cheers,
-Bruno.

Bruno,
Thanks for your message.
No - I still have not received the 7.5 (MCR3) update as the documentation suggests for my vodafone store purchased Lumia 800.
As you suggesst I will pass my details through to you for more support.
(This is what Zune displays below)
Cheers,
J.

It is now day 25 and all handsets should have recieved the update by now. I still have not recieved it. Vodafone, this is disappointing and considering you were the first carrier in Australia to approve the update, this is unacceptable and baffles me as to why no update has been recieved. Please release this update now!

same here, my OS = 7.10.8107.79 and stil nothing OTA or when I check on our mac using Windows Phone 7 connector. The interesting thing is WP7 connector says my version = 07.10.08107.03.
Apparently, this disconnect in OS versions between the handset and WP7 connector is a known issue according to MS below however I'm more interested in the update from 7.10.8107.79 to latest version

Same thing for me too. Not quite sure what is happening from Vodafone's end.
I have checked on the Navifirm about 2-3 weeks and it had Vodafone's update on there, so I highly doubt that it is Vodafone's faulty, but the least they can do is urge MS to push the update out to us all!

Bart from Vodafone just tried to call me - (Thanks Bart!)
He left a voicemail saying that he didn't have much new information, suffice to say that Vodafone and Microsoft are looking into why the rollout has not occurred.
Hopefully they will get this sorted soon - but if they have not started the rollout, I suspect that once they figure out what the problem is, they will start at the beginning again with the 24 day staggered rollout.
I have a business trip to Brisbane coming up next week, and I was really hoping NOT to have to buy a dedicated WiFi hotspot for my laptop

itsmoe,
How does the NaviFirm thing work? - I read that you can flash the update using the Nokia Care Suite, I assume this would void your warranty etc. etc.?

Hey JamesB,
I have flashed my N9 previously and it's a straight forward process, you are required to back up your files before proceeding and I can't be bothered doing that for my Lumia as I'm flat out with work and family and fasting and many other things.
As far as I know, it does void the warranty, and I have just had a quick look and it seems a little complicated and a risky move if you have no experience in flashing phones.
I hope we don't have to wait for another 24 days as this will frustrate people even more.

Hi guys,
We're aware of the current delays in delivering the Windows Phone MCR3 update affecting the Nokia Lumia 800 and HTC 7 Trophy. We're working with Microsoft, HTC and Nokia to resolve the delay and we'll keep you up to date as news comes through.
Your voices have been heard and I thank you for sharing, please let me know if you've got any questions or concerns, I'm happy to discuss them.
-Bart
