Re: Unlock problem

Message 11 of 36 (611 Views)

Hi,

I got a replaced iPhone 4s from Apple and I tried to unlock the phone following the Vodafone instructions that told me to get the device serial number (IMEI) but turned out it was not found. I wanted to fill in the contact details for getting the problem solved, but I am currently not in Australia so I don't know what mobile number and email I should fill in. How can I get the new IMEI registered by Vodafone?

Thanks.

Hi dor,

You're able to fill in the Unlocking difficulties section of our Handset Unlocking page while you're overseas - just use your normal Vodafone mobile number, and an email address the team can contact you on. The team will use this address to email you with confirmation your IMEI has been uploaded within four business days.

If you haven't received an email from them after 4 business days, check your spam and junk inboxes, to check the confirmation didn't deliver to either. If you've checked your spam and junk inboxes and you definitely have not received the email, please post back here, and I will escalate for you.

Thanks!

Kirsty.

Try re-entering your IMEI on the unlock page, in case the confirmation email went astray, then sync with iTunes, etc.  It's likely your IMEI has now been entered into the system.

We have referred your difficulty directly to Apple who will unlock your handset from their Database.

We will revert to you once this is resolved and Apple has provided the instructions to

Complete the restore/backup process to unlock your iPhone.

after i recieved this email i called vodafone and told em about it i been told to wait another 4 days so i waited.

after 8 days my problem has still not been solved. so i called them again and they cant help me so

Hi Burak89,

I can definitely follow this up and find out what's going on for you. To do this, I will need to grab some details off you via email. I will send you a PM with my contact details.

Sarah.

hi,

I've got a Samsung Galaxy S which I've purchased in December 2010, and my contract ends in a couple of days. I havent yet unlocked the phone but for my phone it is free. I've entered the IMEI code into the website and received an unlock code, but when i put it in (after inserting an Optus/TPG sim into the device) it says network unlock request unsucessful. I've tried this four or five times now and I am certain that I have put in the correct code but it is still not unlocking. I've also visited a store but they've told me there is nothing else to do but to send my phone away for 7-14 days. Is there any other way around this, as I need a phone for the next two weeks.
