Hey
I have got a Samsung Galaxy S, and I am currently overseas for the next month. When testing out my Danish SIM, I found that the headset is locked. I followed the instructions on how to unlock it on Vodafone's website https://unlock.vodafone.com.au/voila/handsetunlock
Any idea what I can do?

Hi there
I also have a problem unlocking my samsung galaxy S2. I followed the instructions on the website and got the unlocking code. However, when I tried to unlock it using a non-vodafone simcard, I always got a message telling that the unlocking was unsuccessful. I even dropped by at the vodafone shop and let their staff tried.....same result. I stop trying because I don't want my phone to be permanently locked. Is it possible that your system generates the wrong code for my phone? What should I do? Could you please help me with this issue? Thanks.

/self-service.html however it at no point display the message saying 'SIM network unlock PIN'. When you go into settings and try and press the grey out botton of 'unlock SIM' it does not react.
Any idea what I can do?
When you're attempting to unlock the device do you have your Vodafone sim card in it or another provider sim?
When unlocking the device you will need to have a different provider sim in the device and then you should see the dialogue box pop up where you can type in the unlocking code provided on our unlocking website. You will also need to follow the unlocking steps on the page to have the device unlocked correctly.
Can you please let me know if this is what you've done in the past and it is still not working or if this is a different method and it worked for you.
Thank you,
Bree

It certainly does sound as though something is not quite right, I would love to look into this for you a little further to see what may be causing this.
I will need a couple of more details off of you so that I can look into this further for you.
Please email me at online.help@vodafone.com.au with code C125CBPGI in the subject line with the information in our email guide in the body of your email with your details filled out.
I look forward to receiving your email, and getting the issue resolved.
Thank you,

I will be happy to point you in the right direction in getting your Samsung Galaxy S2 unlocked.
Zabzabcanfly has already provided the link to the unlocking page on the Vodafone Australia Website for you. It will just prompt you to pop in the IMEI number of the handset in. If you need to find your IMEI number you can do this by dialling *#06# on your handset and it will be displayed on the screen.
Once you enter the IMEI number in and submit then it should give you the unlock code and the instructions. If the IMEI isn't found then there will be a form to fill in and you will receive the unlock code in approximately 4 days.
If you need more information on unlocking your Vodafone Australia supplied phone you can find a handy article here, and the unlocking tool is here.
Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with or if you run into any troubles.
Cheers,
Dana.

Hi, I would just like some clarification on whether you need to unlock your phone before you go overseas or wait until you are there and have the new sim card to use?
I can certainly help you! How long are you going overseas for? Please let me know if you would like me to help you with anything to do with your account before you leave.

I have printed the unlock code and instructions to unlock for when I'm overseas but because people are having trouble should I borrow a sim card and do it before I leave? Thanks lehutton
If you have your unlock code and the instructions to unlock your phone then you shouldn't have any issues unlocking your Galaxy SII! You can unlock now before you go or wait until you're overseas. It's completely up to you if you want to unlock the SIM before you leave for peace of mind or if you want to wait until you're overseas with the new SIM.
If you have any questions at all please let me know otherwise I hope you have a great time overseas!
Thank you,
Charlotte
