I've made sure auto brightness is off, I've posted my phone details in the other thread.
Thanks for adding your experience and phone details for the other thread. It's really valuable information to help get this issue resolved. We'll be sure to give an update as soon as we hear anything further from Samsung.
Thanks,
Jerome

Hello, the solution outlined does not work in my case. The grey notification bar will not disappear (even with auto brightness off).
I updated via handset over wifi.
Going over the youtube video that was posted (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpbPt24a5kU) I do not have the same Build Number as that. Mine is IML74K.DULPB ... Not DULP9 as stated in the video. Also comparing the Kernal Version, mine is different too.
I just ran a software update check on the phone and non are availble.
Any help in correcting this issue would be greatly appreciated as it was one of my favorite features.
Thanks
Scott

We've provided an update to your brightness adjustment queries in the main thread on this topic over here.
You're welcome to discuss in either thread, however we've been updating the other regularly.

Thanks for trying out my suggestion and reporting back to us, much appreciated!
We've tried to replicate the same issue from our end, and we've been able to adjust the brightness of the screen with no issues. I'd like to look at running through some more specific troubeshooting with you, to isolate and fix the issue you're facing.
So I can do that, I've sent a PM to your inbox requesting some account specific info, and you can access that by clicking this link. Once you come through I'll raise your issue with the relevant area for review.
If you've got any other questions or queries, be sure to include them in your reply.
Kind Regards,
James.
