Does anybody now whether us old Samsung Galaxy S users are going to get an update to Gingerbread 2.3. I've heard good things about it.

Hi Hugh,

Network testing is currenlty underway for the 2.3.4 Gingerbread update.

We haven't been notified yet about the expected release date, but when this informaiton is available it will be announed on our Blog first, which you can find here: http://blog.vodafone.com.au/blog/

Hi Kate (or the other VF reps),

Is there any update on the Gingerbread update for the SGS?  By all accounts this resolves the lag issues of Eclair and Froyo.

Apparently an update has been released and announced on the vodafone blog but does seem to register on phone when you connect to Kies

Yep, just connected to Kies. Still states JP4 (FroYo) is latest version.

Hopefully tomorrow.

I've confirmed the software is available, have you updated Kies to the latest version and checked for updates again?

If you can let me know ASAP if there's no updates available for you I'll chase this up for you.

Hi Tim,

I can confirm I have the same issue as greenarrow7,  that as it stands there are no 2.3 update available via Kies for the Galaxy S.

Current Version of Kies installed is: 2.0.1.11053_99

and Kies is saying:  "This is the lastest firmware."

Current Firmware Version: PDA:JP4/ Phone:jp3 / CSC:JP4 (VAU)
