Hi,

I have Samsung galaxy s2 when I get out of in the open in the sun my screen turns black and one cannot see anything. It is a struggle to dial a number. I don't know what causes this?

Could you please help.

Thank you

I'm no expert, but if it is actually black, then it sounds like a fault. If it is just really faint and difficult to see, you need to turn your brightness up.

I have automatic brightness turned off on mine, but when the battery is almost drained, it still goes darker to conserve power.

To help, I keep the "Settings" app icon on my main screen and go to Brightness and drag back up everytime I am outside.

Hope this helps somewhat?

This is the best idea to manually adjust the brightness as Samsung Galaxy S2 has battery issue.... I just wanna add one thing.... There is a bar on top which we slide to check notifications, if brightness settings are set to manual and if you hold that bar for 1-2 seconds and move horizontally then brightness also changes.... try it.......
