As has been said before Vofafone AU are not privy to the the international plans of Samsung.

In saying that, when Vodafone AU approved the 3.0.1 Maintenance Release it was available worldwide OTA.

The fact John appears to have been released from contract is cause for concern. If  the update was coming surely the retention team would offer a free month or two with an offer of reassessment after release. Marketing 101 is it's cheaper to retain a customer than it is to recruit a customer.

I was offered an ipad 2 to see out the remainder of my current contract but this was due to my 10.1v having a fault which constantly disconnected the tablet from the mobile network. It didn't have anything to do with updates. Great news about 3.2

That same question applies to all the Galaxy Tab models (including the most recent 8.9 4G one) though on most the upgrade has at least been "promised".
