As disappointed as I am regarding the speed of which this update has come through. I'm happy to know that there is a "non official" update date of wednesday.
It's just that Vodafone has been losing customers in the last year and continuing to lose customers. I just thought the least it could do is to be ahead of their competitors. Even Telstra was quicker on these terms. Noting, Vodafone's 4G seems so far away and it doesn't even support HSPA+.
Samsung S3 being released for Wednesday night(sydney time).
I'm wishing Vodafone to be one of the first to have this phone. If not, with my contract already up. I wouldn't hesitate to switch boats like many others. (Yes, I understand this may be out of Vodafone's control, but it's their contacts within Samsung that they should assure themselves to not be behind on this new phone)

We've officially confirmed 12pm Wednesday for the rollout of the update. Read the full details including size, how to update and hte major changes in ICS right here on the blog.
Any questions, let me know. And with ICS adding in screenshot capability, I've got a little something for the first Vodafone customer who can screenshot the of our update already installed ![]()
Thanks

This is for those who are wondering when ICS hits it or don't want to tread through other threads to find out.

You may post it right here.
And native screenshot capability is an ICS feature according to Google. I hope I haven't had the wrong impression all along!

S2 did have it already and could share to anywhere. Menu + Power. I guess same combination with ICS as well.
Looking forward to this update ![]()

Looks like it's VolumeDown+Power, instead of Menu+Power, some googling tells me.
Very excited for this update - haven't minded the wait at all, while all and sundry (it seems) have been complaining non-stop. But now that it's almost here, I must admit that I'm pressing the "Check for update" button every 30 minutes this morning, even though we've not hit mid day ![]()
