Hello,

I've got this unlocked htc desire s phone and i'm with voda at the moment.

After I read all APN and PXT setting from the vodafone website, I've set them on my phone. the internet and data seem work well, BUT i don't think pxt is working. I've read some cases about desire s and incredible s from this website and I fix some of apn setting. I've sent picture msg to myself and it works. I can see the message but the problem is to send it to another network no. I've got optus no which i'm not using but i've tried to send picture msg to see if the setting is working. IT IS NOT WORKING WHEN I SEND IT TO OTHER NETWORK NO. I've got a msg saying ' message is not downloaded' on my optus no. phone. when I try to download the msg, nothing happens. I guess pxt setting is only working between voda??? please help me to find out cause I have to use this desire s phone for a while and I need to send picture msg time to time.....

You've certainly done the right thing by configuring your APN and PXT Settings from the Vodafone Website. Its great that your data services are working well.

Can you please let me know if once you configured these settings, you turned your device off and on again to save the settings?

Thank you for trying to send your self a picture message, this lets us know that you're able to receive PXT.  You have said that other carrier numbers are not able to receive your picture messages, and you've tested this with another carrier sim.

Can you please let me know if when you send a picture message to a Vodafone number other than your own if the picture  message is received correctly?  This will tell us if there is an issue with you sending messages to other carriers.

It is strange however that upon clicking the download link on the photo that it will not download. May I ask which device you are trying to receive the PXT on? As it may have downloaded and gone to a downloads folder. 

I look forward to hearing from you and getting this issue resolved.

Thanks for the tips.

Yeah, I turned the device off and turned on again once I set APN.

I can't try with other voda no. at the moment but it is a bit strange that some other carrier works to get the picture I sent. I actually don't know which device he uses but one photo I sent was okay. 

The one I tried to send and receive the photo was sony xperia x10 with optus sim card in it. it just says 'not downloaded' like I said. Also, I've tried to send video msgs to my friend the other day and it was failed. It was motorola defy with optus. Thus, i don't know now....maybe, this setting i got from the website is working time to time??? or maybe related to the size of the file i attached??? I might give up this htc desire s device........

Don't give up yet  I think you are definitely on to something! You should be able to send a PXT to another carrier without any issues. I recommend checking the file size limit of your PXT's as the message "file not downloaded" suggests that the receivers phone may not be able to download large PXT files. If the file size limit to send in a PXT is set to it's maximum, I suggest changing this to a lower file size.

Also, have you recently ported your number into Vodafone from another carrier? I ask as your port may not have processed correctly which may prevent you from sending a PXT to another carrier.
