My Desire Z has recently completely shut down and I am going to take it to a dealer (Have tried every single troubleshooting method, as confirmed by Vodafone Customer Support). Is it possible for me, when taking it in to be replaced to switch to a different handset (Galaxy S II) on the exact same contract cost and length for the remainder of my current contract?
Thanks.

That sucks! I have a HTC desire z too, which has sometimes been a bit flaky (crashing etc). Do you mind if I ask what's wrong with yours? I want to know what to watch out for...

First thing that I noticed was that it no longer vibrated for any incoming notifications or calls, then it turned 'car mode' on while locked and in my pocket, then it re-sent random messages whilst in my pocket...
I contacted HTC about it and their end-solution was to perform a factory reset, but while doing this, it crashed at the loading screen and now loops between the HTC logo and a black screen continuously.
Took it in to a store today and it will be looked at/repaired but really inconvenient!
What sort of issues have you been having?

Hi Mp002,
It's definitely not good that you've been having such trouble with your HTC Desire Z!

When you take your phone in for assessment, they will send it off to the service centre for repair. If they can't repair the phone for you, they will replace it with the same model of phone. You can view additional information about our extended 24 month warranty on our website here.
Whilst the HTC Desire Z is away for repair, the store may be able to provide you with a loan phone if they have any in stock.
If you have any further questions about having your phone repaired, let me know!
Regards,
Sarah.
