Hi Bruno
Sorry for the late reply, getting too busy recently. Could you show me how to reset the phone with KIES, I gone though every manual items I could find, something like under Tools, or right clicks on the phone symbol, none of the items allow to allow me to reset the phone.
Regards
Sherman

You are right, there is no longer an option to complete the restore for your device through KIES. When you completed the factory reset through your device did you restore your phones data immediately or wait a few days?
As TW Launcher is the default interface for the Samsung Galaxy S, you definitely should not be experiencing any issues. The next best step you to take is backing up your phones data and getting your phone to your nearest Vodafone store to be sent away to a Service Centre. The Service Centre will wipe your completely and reinstall the software for your device.
Thanks,
Cait

Hi Caitlin,
I restored the backup data right after the phone starts from factory reset, would it make any different? I have google around it appears TwLauncher issue is not uncommon. To send the phone away for complete hardware reset sounds like a lot of trouble. Now the phone is behaving ok as long as I avoid to use the 1st page, just leave it blank. I'm sure I can live with that.
May be someday someone able to pin point the root caused.
Thanks
Sherman

If you're having issues with your phone it would be best to pop it into your nearest store to be assessed. If it does need to be sent to one of our service centres then depending the availability in the store you visit you'll be given a loan phone for the time being until it's been looked at so as not to inconvenience you too much.
We certainly want to get any issues you're having with your phone sorted for you as soon as possible.
Thank you,
Charlotte

Yes, that was 1st thing I done, beside I lost all the shortcuts on, it did not help the issue, then I tried factory reset on my phone, the issue was gone away for few days after factory rest, but it comes back again few days after. I have google around, the issue seems caused by file corruption on somewhere, and no one could point it out exactly which file to be blamed
When you did the factory resets on your handset, was this done via KIES or directly on the handset? The reason that I ask is that the two are very different processes.
Performing a reset via KIES will completely erase the data on your handset and re-install the software. When performing a reset on your handset, only the updated files will be replaced which can sometimes cause issues with settings not being updated.
If you haven't already, please try the factory reset via KIES and let me know the results. If you have already done this and are still experiencing the same issues, then we really need to get your handset looked at by our service centre.
I've included a link to our support page for the service centre, with some good information about the repairs process. You can also book in your handset online to save you some time in the store. You can also track the progress of your repair order online from the same page.
Please let me know if you have any other questions, or if there is anything else that I can help you with.
Cheers,
-Bruno.
How do you "reset via KIES"
I've looked in the latest version and it isn't apparent

I hope you're having a great weekend so far!
Sorry to hear you've found it a bit tricky to find the process of restoring via Kies. I have the Galaxy S II myself and have never actually needed to do this either. So that I can provide you with the most accurate info I've had a look on the Samsung website. I've managed to locate a step by step video guide which should be a big help to run you through this. The tutorial can be viewed here.
Are you able to give this a try? I look forward to a report as to how you went?
Talk soon.

I hope you actually looked at the Samsung Page before posting it as a step-by-step guide to reflashing the firmware because I can't see it there.
The tutorials listed are
1.Synch contacts and schedule - I don't want to do that
2. Sync music photos and videos - I don't want to do that
3. Firmware Upgrade - I have already upgraded so I don't want to do that
4. Add new contacts - I don't want to do that
5. Back-up and restore phone data - I don't want to do that
6. Purchase applications - I don't want to do that
7. Create Music playlist - I don't want to do that
8. Subscribe to podcast - I don't want that either
9. Save taken photo/video - seems to be getting further away from reloading firmware
10. Transfer contacts to new phone - that's the end of the list and there's nothing that resembles a tutorial on how to re-load the phone software
If I connect the phone to a PC that's running KIES and try option "3" I get the 'you already have the latest firmware' message.
So where is this reloading firmware option that I asked about. I well trained monkey can back-up and restore data but that's not what we've been talking about. This is reflashing ICS so I don't have to waste half a day waiting at a Vodafone shop/service centre

When you install a firmware update, all the settings are transferred across to the new system. Obviously, all of the apps and files also remain on the phone. Because you are running a new firmware with older apps and settings, you will often run in to compatibility issues, which can cause your phone to behave in unusual ways.
To ensure that there aren't any compatibility issues, it's often suggested that you do a full factory data reset after the upgrades finished. Obviously, to make sure you don't lose any of your files or contacts you should do a backup first, which is explained in the tutorials that Madeleine linked to above.
Once you've backed up your phone, you can perform a factory data reset from your phone itself. The steps are outlined on the support section of our website, here. Flashing your firmware isn't advised as it carries the risk of bricking your phone. Flashing should only be carried out at an authorised repair centre.
I'd suggest then reinstalling your apps one-by-one, which will help you to determine if any of the specific apps are causing any compatibility issues.
Please let me know how you go.
Cheers,
Nick
